Liverpool v Chelsea (PL) 27/04/14 KO 14:05 BST

League is done and dusted. All our efforts should now be on the Champions League. Makes no difference to us whether Liverpool or City win it. Why should we sacrifice our one chance of silverware by putting out a strong side in a meaningless fixture?

Would like to see us start a second string and rest all our players for the CL second leg. Take the premiership going to the Scousers on the chin. Winning the Champions League would more than make up for it.

Would love us to put out our youth team, fcuk em and their dodgy Wirral refs, we got bigger fish.

That pic above is sick...what's wrong with these people...anyway, this game is not a priority now...as much as it hurts, we have to play a weakened team at Anfield to help our chances of winning the one trophy we can win now

Part of me says it's not over but on the other hand, I...I would be okay with this.

I never thought we'd win it this season but in with any chance, no matter how unlikely, I want us to drag it on as long as possible, I wouldn't rule out Palace extending their unbelievable run and nobody can rule out us going up to Anfield and quietening them down with a proper performance, City have two more games to play which leaves two more possible Banana skins.

I don't expect it but I won't be giving up on it either.

We'll be tired from the Atleti game. Though two of our keys will be rested and hopefully one more will return. They will not have Hendrson and Sturridge probably. It will be tough but I'm feeling optimistic about this one. After what I've seen for 2 games in a row from the scouses - 30 minutes playing and then switch off. We are certainly not Norwich and we are better in defence than Citeh. I have a good feeling about this one but we need to be more clinical. It will be a shame not to score against their comic defence after every team in the league waited on a queue and scored against them.

And for the first time since i'm a Chelsea supporter I want so badly the cop to referee this game. He just hates them in his guts. :D

I don't understand those that are giving up on the league. Have you not been following it this season? Upsets abound. With three games to be played, Liverpool and City can still drop points. Maybe it's unlikely, but that doesn't mean we should give up and field a youth team. Show some pride. We'll pick our best 11 for each of the next three fixtures. Fatigue will be a factor, but we've got the squad to beat Liverpool and get past Athletico. That's the objective. There's still everything to play for. Matic, Salah, and Ivanovic will be forced to rest for this match. Ramires may be suspended for his indiscretion against Sunderland.

Let's crush the scousers, put all the pressure on them and watch them collapse. The title race isn't over yet.

All the press Borini is getting for his goal is ridiculous. It was a penalty kick. So what if he's a Liverpool loanee. BFD. He didn't earn the pen. It wasn't some great goal. Azpi slipped and he scored a dodgy pen. The story should be how many of those have gone Diverpool's way this season. It's been the story of their season, a record number of pens. From Sturridge getting Vidic sent off with a dive, to Saurez giving a diving exhibition against City while on a yellow and getting away with it, the referees have practically gifted them the title. You won't see that story in the paper though.

I think this type of game suits you. 24 points from 33 against teams inside top seven which is more then any team in the league. you beaten city twice and liverpool and  have only let in five goals in 11 big games this season

you need to win to keep you in the race but your record in big games is massive. liverpool will have to be careful of how good you are on the counter attack. your power overwhelemed man city and liverpool in games this season

The tweeted pictures of Frank's mum just epitomises the hypocrisy that exists amongst football fans (and we are as guilty as any).  In the week that Liverppol fans once more ask the nation to mourn the victims of Hillborough, a number of them mock a player's dead mother.  On the very day they are supposed to be commemorating the tragedy some of them decide a fitting tribute is to attack mini bus full of City fans.

Meanwhile a portion of Chelsea fans will make unsavoury remarks about Hillsborough but probably be up in arms if anyone made any about Matthew Harding.  We still see some Chelsea fans mocking victims of the gas chambers (thankfully this is very isolated now). Some Liverpool fans mock Munich and Man Utd fans are outraged. Some Man Utd fans then mock Hillsborough and Liverpool fans are outraged.

Up here in the West of Scotland you hear Celtic fans accusing Rangers fans of being thugs and Rangers fans doing likewise.  The truth is nether are any better or worse than the other.

The bottom line is that, more often than not, the only thing a lot of fans have in common, is the club they support.  They are scumbags in all our camps - it is more of a reflection of society than football.

look both sides gulity of saying bad stuff about each other. all of it awful when mocking any people dying from both sides. football is just a game

In end focus should be on fact if you win at anfield it be huge boost for you and make city favourites for the league

No mate, we didn't mock the dead. We disagreed with them bringing up Hillsborough to gain sympathy and not allowing the families of the dead to move on.

Show some f* pride, we are not there to crown them the champion, we are going to ruin their party, at least for a week longer. Given everything has happened so far this season, I think it will be a 1:1. Liverpool don't have to win this, so I believe they will play with a degree of caution. 89th minute, they will get a penalty from a Gerrard tumbling, I could see this coming a mile away

From memory we haven't had any prior gripes with him, hopefully he doesn't bottle it like Clattenburg did in not sending off Suarez, i'll be extremely grateful if the match is officiated fairly.

Its my Birthday on Sunday, I remember when we played them on my Birthday in 2005...It was one of the legs of the CL tie where they dumped us out..!!!  You owe me a good Birthday Chelsea !!!

Very well put.
