No, i'm talking of varane's quality. cahill will never be on john terry's level, and that's no offence to cahill as he is fantastic. I think john stones would be incredible under mourinho's management, but it's just the price that bothers me.  

We dont know that for sure. We could splash out on buying Stones and he only get to the same kind of level as Cahill.

Stones does look like he has great potential. But he's English so he'd cost about £25m. Though if he does progress to a high level, it would be worth it. Although didn't we pull out of signing Shaw because of his "English" price? So can't see us signing Stones, especially having just signed Zouma last year.

I think you would be lucky to get him for 25 mill. I dont think Everton would even entertain offers under 30 million.

Hasn't he just signed a new 5 year deal? Why would he be available for £20m? 

I think that is utter rubbish. There is no way Madrid will let him for for 19 million.

Not really.

We have had a Englishman in the back line for a long time now aand a spine like that is always good to have.

Bothered by it? Not really. Would I like more English players to play for us, of course I would but only if they are good enough.

What I never understand is why people call for the likes of Piazon to be playing for us when he isnt up to the standard that we need to be winning everything. Why water down a side just to bring a few kids through. But anyway thats a totally different subject.

Yeah.... I mean it's not like England is flush with quality centre backs, not too sure I want to see Wes Brown lining up alongside Ivan and Co.

think jose just planted a seed there by saying he's the best defender in the world...obviously will be very hard to prise him out of the bernabeu, but am sure jose will be his first choice manager to play for if he does leave...they were already close from their time working together and comments such as this will get back to him, just strengthens the bond even more

gary cahill is one of chelsea's best ever signings £7m!  when you think that liverfool just spent 20m on lovren, and manure spent 30m on the whore shaw. enough said! 

Absolutely incredible player for his age and will probably progress to be one of the best. Would fit into team in the world tbh
