apparently atletico are close to signing siquera - a left back from granada. That would probably further indicate that that move paves the way for Luis' move to Chelsea...

Add his reported £100k a week on offer from United and he's even less attractive for now. Luis just won the Spanish league and played in the champions league final and if we sign him it will be on lesser wages than that.

 

£100k a week for an 18 year old is insane. He'd likely sign at least two renewals at the club if all goes well so could easily be on £180k by the time he's 26!!!

 

That's just ridiculous and if that's the reason we're not in for Shaw then i'm happy about it.

I'm past caring in some respect who we get in, I just want Azpi in his rightful position so we have a decent crosser in the right & someone who won't get caught out if position a lot if the time. I like Branna a lot but at CB, sometimes I'm reminded of a certain Dane's crossing when he attempts one.

That said, Gronks had a pretty big say in us being where we are today. Still one of my favourite games.

Shaw is far from ready he should stay at Southampton for a few more years

Not sure but in the world of today, a top quality left back doesn't spend his career at Wigan and Everton.

Let's not pretend ryan is a class footballer because he is not, he's been average at best with Villa and is 25.

Yeah he didnt do anything wrong when played in our first team and maybe it was harsh to loan him but he's not on the same scale as Danny was.

Wouldn't say he cant defend, more that he is like most good attacking fullbacks and is suspect defensively.

Selling Sturridge was a mahoosive mistake and is is regretable.

 

All am saying is that selling Bertand would be an equally poor mistake to make IMHO.
