Hmm maybe I'm cynical but they did all seem to disappear when we became increasingly likely to be champs.   They'll be back at the beginning of the season no doubt.  And disappear again if and when we wrap it up.

United fan, still here. Though, obviously not as much to talk about during off-season. 

 

Looking forward to next season though - will be very important in our hopeful return back to the top with the big boys. Having signed Depay already, I am optimistic. Still think we need to get a CB to partner Smalling (who is criminally underrated amongst opposition fans), a right back and maybe a centre midfielder (hopefully Schneiderlin). If we can get those along with a few young players that always seem to come in every summer, I'm pretty confident we can challenge.

To be fair to you, you only appeared at the tail end of the season when it was almost all done and dusted, so all credit.   Most fans only come here when they're doing better or at least as well as we are.

Think you need another CF too. RVP is on the decline, I think this could well be his last season at United. You'll need a GK once De Gea goes to Real too. 

 

All in all I don't really see United challenging for the title next year because there's still a lot of transfer work to do. I reckon you'll come 4th again and then challenge the season after.

I do sort of agree with you about the striker situation. However, it looks like we will play with one striker next season, which will most likely be Rooney (he is the captain after all). That's why rumours of bringing in a top striker have confused me and I'd rather have Rooney, RVP and Wilson as our three strikers. If we could bring in a young talent who could step in like Vietto, I would be tempted however. 

 

I actually think we have less rebuilding to do than City, though we do have more than Arsenal and you guys. I really feel Di Maria will come good next season and with our midfield beginning to blossom, we need to aim at third at the very least and also to challenge to some extent. 

I actually don't think City need as much rebuilding as people think. At least not in the short term.

So Barca have a transfer ban but are allowed to still negotiate and complete transfers which will go through as soon as their ban is lifted?

The way the mods run this site is fantastic and they don't need telling how to do their job by some mock offended poster such as yourself.

It's simple, if you don't like this site and they way it's run then log out and go elsewhere.

My point was you , as moderators or owners make no attempt to - either in Terms and Conditions or by removing posts (or indeed whole threads - look at the Computing section for an example, there's even one asking for where people stream!).

 

Makes me laugh that people are getting upset that I am pointing all this out. I wonder if those same people would get so upset with me if they were walking down the street and dropped their wallet and I decided I'd better just keep it rather then do the legal thing and hand it back to them. You can't pick and choose what is legally , or morally, right and wrong.
