This made me more upset than it should have

Damn.  Not happy about this transfer.  A good striker, and has got decent goal returns at every club he has been at.

 

I'm just hoping that him and Sturridge don't get along, have a bust up, and one of them is gone by Christmas.

With Suarez gone Liverpool's PR team needed something new to do.

I can't believe the fee is so low, good piece of business by Liverpool.... Especially when you consider Sunderland are willing to pay £14m for Balotelli's Italy team mate Borini. 

But you have to wonder why the fee is so low. Why no other club seems to be willing to take a punt on him.

Really like balotellI, although he doesn't score enough from open play 13 in 41 last season.

I think it all depends on whether rodgers cam do what no one else has managed so far. That is to get balotelli putting the team first and staying focused.

I had faith Mourinho could've done that, and I'm sure the scousers think rodgers can harness balotelli too.

Whether or not he does is 50/50. Hopefully we will see some very entertaining misdemeanours.

Have never understood the balotelli hype. When ever I have watched him I have never been impressed in the slightest infact quite the opposite. He is so lazy and will happily just walk around for 90 minutes doing f all. Sure he scores the odd great goal every 10 games but he will never be a consistent scorer.

 

I'd want him nowhere near my club or team and city and milan must be very relieved to not have him anymore

Balotelli is a great buy IMO. Great footballer. A bit crazy but usually outside the pitch so it seldom matters. He takes some cards and that is his only downside. I don' mind crazy players as long as they don't let the team down.

Liverpool are perfect for him. They are well prepared to print and wear all the novelty shirts his heart desires.

Agree, do not get the hype at all. Patrick Kluivert mark II for me, lazy bar steward who will never fulfil his potential.

16M seems decent business for Balotelli but this could backfire horribly.

 

Balotelli isnt the best striker in the world but could easily score 15 goals next season

 

Still cant see Liverpool mounting any serious title challenge though.

 

For all the controversy he caused Suarez is one of the best strikers in world football. Balotelli has done nothing so far in football although he has shown rare moments of brilliance.

Liverpool have the better depth but I think we have a much stronger midfield who will create more and better chances.

Irritates me that people are using Balotelli's name in the same sentence as Cantona, Suarez, Gazza etc.. And how Balotelli is a character or a tortured genius

Good question, they have better depth but Costa is better than all of them.

I have thought the same of him. I think that it's because of all the hype surrounding his off field attics that make people notice him more on the field and when he does produce the odd flash of brilliance (I use that word lightly) people come in with the old flawed genius crap.

I think he is a good enough player when his head is right but he's hardly top drawer.
