Lucky bar stewards, they didn't deserve anything from that. If we get past PSG tomorrow and come up against Real Madrid, hopefully we run at their defense and take as many shots as possible. Casillas and their defense can't handle it.

Really unlucky rdm and Schalke, played some great football especially without farfan and draxler. Max meyer is such a clever little player, definitely one to watch.

On a side note, can't believe there was only 3 minutes stoppage in a half that had 5 subs and 3 goals! I thought it was always 30 secs for each sub and goal? Probably should have been 5 minutes.

Ronaldo always has and always will make everything about him. I don't care how good he is, i would never want him to play for us.

Care to point out the big games in the premier league, la liga and champions league he's dominated in the way other players have in the past. i.e. Messi, Kaka, Ronaldinho. the real Ronaldo, Zidane, Drogba etc etc.

He regularly scored against Arsenal whilst playing for Man U which was was a big game for United, also goals against Liverpool another big game for United. He scored against Barca in the Copa Del Ray final when Real beat Barca, he's also scored against Barca other times. He pretty much single handily destroyed Bayern Munich last season. He scored against us in the CL final etc etc

I really don't think you can say he's not a big game player because he was doubled up on in a CL final against Atletico. What's a player supposed to do against that? We've regularly marked Messi out of games against us does that mean he's not a big game player?

BTW, today was a big game for Real. He scored twice and was their only good player all game. 

Arsenal haven't seriously competed for the title since 2005 but yeah he did well against them.... Not what I'd consider to be the biggest games in any of those seasons, those games didn't define those teams seasons.

Against Barca he's been completely and utterly out shined by Messi. For me a "big game player" wins those games for his team. Granted its Barcelona but scoring goals against them isn't enough he rarely if ever dominated El Clasico the way Messi has done time and time again.

He did not destroy Bayern single handily, that's crazy, Real played fantastic as a team as a whole, but yes I'll grant you he did well there.

CL final against us..... scored his free header. Climbed into Essien's pocket then missed his penalty. Scoring a goal doesn't mean he had a good game.

CL final against Atletico..... Awful, took last minute penalty then desperately tried to hog the limelight.

CL semis 06-07 against Milan saw two of the best individual performances I've seen from Kaka. Every Milan player played well but he was just unplayable. Distinctly remember Ronaldo going into hiding in what at that point was his best season and the biggest game/tie he'd played in.

 

Look at the names I posted. They are just a few world class players who dominated and can claim to have single handily won the biggest of games. Ronaldo just hasn't done that. Great player. Great goalscorer I haven't denied that but not a big game player.

I love how you ignore the Liverpool games and the game's against the Barca, he's clearly proven he is a big game player. No player scores in every big game do they?

Thierry Henry regularly did little in the big games yet was still for about three years the best player in this country by a mile.

Messi didn't turn up against the two big games against Inter back in the day, Bayern two years ago or any of the games against us. Point been again no player plays well in every big game but as with Messi, Ronaldo has done it in plenty of big games.

Also you talk about them scoring doesn't mean they had a great game well look at our Didier, it's not like he dominated the finals he played in, he just popped up with very important goals by your logic that isn't enough.

I'm pretty sure they've blown the title this season which is ridiculous when you look at how well they were playing before Christmas. That clubs problem too much ego.
