April 20, 201511 yr I believe that's already been addressed by awarding the Europa League winner with a Champions League spot.. In my opinon teams such as Spuds, Liverpool and Everton that are perennial also-rans to the top 4 race need to start taking that competition more seriously, because really you can get into the semi-finals without having played a half-decent team. Yeah if you win it, the money for getting to the final itself is pitiful which puts many teams off from this country as finishing higher in our league offers more money than a European competition.

I think anyone outside of the current top 4 has a better chance of winning the Europa League next year than finishing in next year's top 4, unless someone suffers an unfathomable collapse between now and then or if one of them unearth the next Suarez/Bale/Ronaldo.

You say that but teams from Spain and Germany who make the EL as well as the ones who drop in from CL are technically better than the ones we have fighting for the top 4. Other countries have always taken the Uefa cup/EL far more seriously than we have and that continues to be the case. It's a joke the money you make progressing in that competition.

April 20, 201511 yr I am certainly not going to go to any great lengths to defend Liverpool, but I think that Sakho, Sahin and Lovren all made sense on paper. I'm a bit baffled as to how Lovren, who was one of the best centre backs in the league last season, has been so poor this season. Maybe he'll kick on next year? I think they're a bit unfair on Moreno too, I think he is a pretty decent left back.
April 20, 201511 yr I don't think SG will last more than a season in MLS. His future is on Sky for sure.

April 20, 201511 yr So rumours that the man city captain has been dabbling with a team mates wife...... Edited April 20, 201511 yr by dkw
April 20, 201511 yr So rumours that the man city captain has been dabbling with a team mates wife...... So would you say she was enjoying the company?
April 20, 201511 yr So would you say she was enjoying the company? What, the whole City organisation?
April 20, 201511 yr So would you say she was enjoying the company?dammit, I missed a great chance of a pun...
April 20, 201511 yr What, the whole City organisation? No wonder they are playing crap - they are all shagged out.
April 20, 201511 yr I love how the media are now trying to make Chelsea - United the next big rivalry and suggesting LVG has now got the ability to go toe to toe with Jose. actually LVG said as much. He was saying how manure dominated vs CFC @ Stamford Bridge & that he felt they didn't get the result they deserved. Of course Jose was like this in the next room
April 20, 201511 yr So rumours that the man city captain has been dabbling with a team mates wife...... Whose wife?
April 20, 201511 yr dammit, I missed a great chance of a pun...Are you unwell sweetie? Very unlike you to miss such an opportunity.
April 20, 201511 yr Whose wife? Zabaleta's. Can't see it being true though, there is hardly anything on it right now. Even now Kompany is at the City youth game which is being played, he would be nowhere to seen if these rumours were true and just came out.
April 20, 201511 yr I just read (in the Guardian so it must be true) that having lined Jordan Henderson up as the successor to the captain's armband when St Gerrard ascends to LA they then offered Henderson a new contract on less money than they had offered Sterling. Bizarre. No wonder Henderson won't sign. Who would want to be a club captain on less money than that wee squirt.
April 20, 201511 yr My word, so many Utd fans sound like bitter scousers...tuned into talksport for sportsbar with andy Goldstein, himself a Utd fan...he started off show saying chelsea will be remembered as most boring side to ever win the league and Utd fans phoned in spouting the same old sh*t...thankfully Jase cundy was co-host and put them all in their place
