October 4, 201510 yr I also notice that on RAWK they changed the thread title from "Brendan Rodgers sacked" to "Brendan Rodgers is no longer Liverpool manager", because of course Liverpool are too classy to ever sack a manager. Typical self rightous lot. Sad day for me though, I've never enjoyed a thread more. Can anyone list his trophy haul whilst at this huge club, full of heavy shirts?

October 4, 201510 yr Can anyone list his trophy haul whilst at this huge club, full of heavy shirts? Sure, here you go:
October 4, 201510 yr There have been calls in recent weeks for the Reds board to sack their manager after a string of disappointing results. But a draw in the Merseyside derby - which saw Danny Ings open the scoring for the visitors before Romelu Lukaku bagged a leveller - appears to have bought the boss more time. "There's no pressure for me," he said. It seems there was my friend. Liverpool must have klopp or ancelotti lined up already. Edited October 4, 201510 yr by Chelsea190512
October 4, 201510 yr "I'm going to open these envelopes now..." "First one says... "Brendan Rodgers" What the f**k...?" "Anyway... The second one says... "Yes son, it's you." "I... I... third envelope... "Sling yer hook boy!" Well... okay"
October 4, 201510 yr All the informed sources are saying Ancelotti and it's already been agreed. Absolutely gutted if it's true. He's too big for a big club like them.
October 4, 201510 yr It's got to be Klopp at the kop surely, numerologists and the media would love it.

October 4, 201510 yr What if Ancelotti turns them into contenders again? But the problem isn't the manager it's just that Liverpool are signing B grade and C grade players. When the top players are available it's not just Liverpool that want them it's all the top teams and naturally they pick the better teams.
October 4, 201510 yr Souness: "With all due respect I don’t see why they gave Rodgers the job in the first place" Hahaha.

They buy players over the manager's head. Would Klopp or Ancelotti accept that?
October 4, 201510 yr There's a transfers committee at LFC. They buy players over the manager's head. Would Klopp or Ancelotti accept that? Ancelotti has never worked any other way. He's more a coach than a manager. In my opinion Klopp is a far better fit and they would love him at Liverpool. I can't see Ancelotti doing well there, though I think he'd have a harmonious relationship with the board, far more than Klopp would have IMO.
October 4, 201510 yr Been listening to Liverpool media and ex-players on the radio. Ancelotti clear favourite, apparently FSG didn't like Klopp when they met a few weeks ago. People saying that FSG jumped now so that they didn't lose out on either Carlo or Klopp if we were to sack Jose and go after one of them.
October 4, 201510 yr It's going to be de Boer. Why would klopp or ancelotti take such a step down. I don't actually think either klopp or ancelotti would do any better than what rodgers has tbh. They don't have good enough players at the end of the day. Ancelotti has always worked with world class players, and klopp will find the same problems at Liverpool, as he did at dortmund, which is the gems he manages to uncover will want to move to better teams.

October 4, 201510 yr Posted this at the wrong place just now. This is a sad day for English football. I thank you Brendan, for showing that unquestionable character and desire to entertain us for the last three years. You are without a shadow of a doubt, a wonderful human being.

I'm looking forward to frightening my Ajax supporting colleagues with this very reliable gossip. I will also claim that he is going to take Cillessen with him. An excellent revenge weapon for all the grief they are going to give me :-)
