So then competition number 3 gets underway this week. I am not sure if QPR have used Remy in this competition or not so do not know at this time if he is available.

 

Personally I think we should try and win this trophy, I think we would benefit a lot from winning the early cup competition. Some need games and others need to be rested of course but if we make it to the later rounds I believe we should be putting out close to full strength sides. For now though this is what I would like to see us going with:

Given that Ramires looked battered when he came off, wouldn't be surprised to see him rested though.

I'm sure if we win it though you will be celebrating like the rest of us. How can you not care if Chelsea win a trophy or not ? that is what football is all about. We shouldn't take it for granted, you never know when we will win another trophy again.

I'd like some of the young players to get a chance, but I see Jose putting out a strong team, I’d like to see a mix of youth, and experience as well, this is definitely a competition I’d like to see us win, it was the League cup that we first won under Mourinho, so it's still a special trophy to me. Agree with Scott, cant believe people think like Manowar. This was the first trophy Jose won with us and back then he says it gave the squad the confidence and self belief to go on to win the title. There are only 4 trophies to win in the season and every competition is worth winning, simple as that.

Id love to see us rest some of the players with major minutes and hopefully see several of the youngsters get an opportunity, like I do every year lol. Will probably be close to the preferred 11.

They'll be a mutiny if Drogba starts over Remy for this one! Won't happen, but imagine...

Someone made a point (on sky I think) that because Costa is still not 100% and were worried about him, were not risking Remy playing and picking up an injury, imagine Remy being out and Costa still struggling with his hamstring. Wouldn't mind giving Drogba a start again, as long as we're prepared to change it at half time if he's struggling.
