Just wondering how many signings you think we will make in January? 

I think their will not be lots of signings for Chelsea maybe just the 1 a extra center back if the rumours are true about Zouma going out on loan.

I don't see any new signings to be honest as our team is very balanced at the present time!

 

I can see Salah leaving though via transfer or loan though.

Think he would struggle to get a work permit though.

We still lack strength in depth if I'm honest. If we had to go a few games without matic, fabregas or hazard (or all three) we would struggle, no doubt. When you look at bayern and real madrid, they have injuries and can replace them with top class players, but if you look at our bench, we cannot. Sooner or later we will get injuries and we'll have to cope with salah, mikel, and ramires as back ups; those are not players who are match winners.

We don't have the money to have 2 world class players in each position anymore. Ffp will mean we won't be to match real madrids squad.

I don't think there is many weaknesses in the squad though, maybe an upgrade at right wing or centre back.

I can see Salah going out on loan and us signing a replacement.

Think it's a case of waiting to see if anyone becomes available rather than specifically targetting positions to strengthen. For the first time in years we have a nicely balanced squad and have no gaping holes although we could always do with another midfield option.

Would love us to sign Kovacic from Inter this January before other teams figure out how good he is. Potentially a world class player and would add some balance in the middle of the park, if either Fabregas/Matic is out.

I don't think we need anyone, especially as Jose very rarely rotates. That said, if reus, varane or pogba actually became available - I'd hope we'd throw our hat in the ring

José is obviously a big fan of 4-2-3-1 so we should consider this formation when we think about new signings short and mid-term:

GK: clearly no needs, best young GK in the world and Old Pete as backup

RB: I love Brana but someone who needs to be considered mid-term

CBs: JT and Gary are doing an amazing job but they don't get younger - we need at least a promising prospect as backup

LB: Dave and Felipe, perfect setup

DMs: obviously we have got the best DM pair in the world with Matic and Fab

AM: Oscar is doing fine and Jose will make him even better the next years

LW: Eden Hazard, no more comments

RW: Schürrle and Willian, here is the problem which needs to be solved. Reus can play RW as well... ;-)

CF: Diego, ohooo...

Conclusion is, buy Reus in January, consider a CB for next season, let's see how Brana can keep his high workrate.

I wouldn't mind another attacking mid seeing as Salah is pretty average and it only leaves with 4 players competing for 3 positions although Fabregas can play there. Im not counting Ramires as i only want to see him play there in specific games to shut down or double up on certain players. We do have Boga and Musonda coming though but apart from i really don't see the need to bring anyone in.

I dunno how people can think we don't need anyone. Right now we have too many players whom their form dips on a regular basis. If we have 2-3 players having form dips, it's not good enough. We need quality players who perform on a consistent basis. If that means signing a few world class players then so be it. There has been rumours of Koke joining us for 48 million.

Koke is the only player I would want us to buy and even then I would rather wait till the summer as we could easily fill that position with Thorgan and other youngsters. 

We're not getting Koke' forget about him.
