Chelsea fans racially abuse a man on the Paris Metro

Featured Replies

They don't care about getting any proof, all they care about is trying to get a bit of controversial news.

West Ham had an anti-semitic incident ~2 weeks ago after their game with Spurs and I could could on one hand the amount of times I saw that in the news (surprisingly). Meanwhile, the Paris Metro incident has been reported on practically non-stop since it happened, and now this just adds fuel to the fire.

Doesn't matter if it's us or anyone else - no football fan should be implied to have any racist tendencies because of a handful of mugs who just so happen to support the same club as you. There really are so many bitter, elitist, "your club is beneath me/mine" c**ts on this planet who'll latch on to any excuse just to get a dig in.

I'm sure Manchester Chelsea fans do exist but must say I am yet to meet one in my 20 years of following Chelsea home & away.

Not seen one shred of evidence to confirm they were Chelsea fans as of yet so bit of a non-story unless something else comes from it.

Great article by Michael Duberry. A very enjoyable read and great to see him talk about his precious father and son moments.

In regards to the other article I sense the BBC article contains many flaws as it's just making assumptions that Chelsea fans are up to no good. I smell something dodgy here as it doesn't seem very reliable whatsoever.

Strange thing, the Guardian were leading with the Chelsea fans story, and at the bottom of the article asking for information from witnesses, they even have a form you can fill in, and anybody can say anything they want. Today they are quoting some of those "witnesses".

Last week they failed to lead with the West Ham fans, funnily enough, and they didn't ask anybody for information, even though there is a film of the incident, a film which fails to show any of the perpetrators.

At the last count the Guardian had close to 40 articles published on the Paris Metro incident.

Agenda? Of course not.

Great article and it's interesting how balanced the reporting of that incident has actually been. Writers like Martin Samuels and Henry Winter placed it in the context of wider social issues and pointed out that the vast majority of Chelsea supporters were appalled by such things. Makes you wonder what those who mewl about agendas actually read.

so it seems there were no anti-Semitic chants at Wembley at the weekend? I would be astonished actually if there wasn't even one somewhere in the ground? If not I'm really impressed!

Haha I initially read that as 'depressed'

We have quite a few lads who go everywhere incl Europe, from the North West incl Manchester, we also have lads from Stoke.

Now i'm not for one min saying any Chelsea from those area's were involved(if it happened)

What i dont understand is in this day & age & current climate why did plod make them leave a train & not nick them there & then?

Also being a cup final chances are they could be lads who are in club Wembley or lads that used club Wembley tickets, so could be fans of any club.

"It's not yet clear if any Chelsea supporters were involved but if they were we will, of course, be assisting the British Transport Police with their inquiries," they said.

This sentence is funny. Makes it sound like if it wasn't Chelsea fans then they won't help with the police inquiries.

Supposedly they were signing songs about Dennis Wise and Zola and sings nasty songs about other teams so the assumption is that they were Chelsea fans.

Only read this in one place though, can't remember where though... Will link it if I can find it.

personally i think it is a load of bollocks, if they think they were singing racist songs, why wasn't it filmed and given as evidence to to the old bill who turned up, if the old bill let them go and they have been singing racist songs. Then some of them plod are for the high jump, With their guvnors.given what what happened out in paris.

They were probably singing some of our famous ditties, about spurs going to rome, people have got the zig, someone in another carriage has seen them oiked off the train, put 2+2 together and bingo= 64. A meeting of the NF was taking place, it's classic desktop journalism, can't be arsed to investigate! so we'll do what the press always do. rely on hearsay and innuendo, and very little in the way of hard facts. w**kers!

I spoke with lads from Leeds/Bradford in a designated Chelsea pub after the match, they wore Chelsea shirts and were legit as far as I am concerned. One lad supported the Blues because his Mum, who came from down South did. They had come down on the Saturday and were on a late train out of Euston back to Leeds. We have fans all over the UK.

I must admit that my first thought was "Chelsea fans going to Manchester?, pretty unlikely".  But then I realised, "hang on you travel from Shropshire"!  Doh!  I am a bit stupid sometimes.   :laugh2:

Genuinely curious as to how those giving abuse to black fans can then warp their twisted logic to cheer on our hugely diverse squad. Would they reject our CL win due to Drogba's instrumental role? Dumb f**ks either way and I would love to see Terry or Mourinho before our next home game call them out and ask them to leave the stadium.

What Terry who used racist language live on Sky?

Logic doesn't come into it when they are thick morons, I once heard a Chelsea fan call desailly every name under the sun, it was disgusting yet the same d**khead was jumping around minutes later when he scored at a corner cheering him. They are brainless imbeciles

Poor Eva....although I recall 20,000 Chelsea supporters once enquiring after the sexual predilections of David Beckham's missus (he scored and celebrated right in front of the Shed....fair play).

From the article

At the Emirates, a handful of supporters chant: “Have you ever had a Gooner up your arse,” at Carneiro.

I believe that's taken from Wenger's team talks to the Academy players.
