Not impressed with this lineup...Drogba playing doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence. The midfielders are going to have to come through big time today for us to get anything out of this game. Although Jose is obviously playing safe that could be to our detriment. Not looking forward to this..really surprised not to see Ramires in the side also....also a clear message to the Board for next summer, get us another f**king striker!!

No one to blame but Jose for the lack of strikers, he's been here 2 years, he's made the signings and more to the point he brought Drogba back. Can't blame the board.

Started watching before the break they even showed Mata and Herrera playing in the U21 Euros, the break preview showed Hazard which hints next is gonna talk about Chelsea but then after the break it's more United lol.

Just had a text from a Liverpool fan saying how negative Jose is for playing zouna, and Rodgers would never do it. I pointed out that playing someone to negate the oppositions main attacking influence isn't really a bad thing.

Difference in, Jose is a winner, Rogers is just a pretender.

The ends don't always justify the means but they certainly do in this case!

Well Dzeko isn't exactly happy and probably neither is Augero...as good as Costa is why buy a player and pay 30mill quid plus if he is only going to play 50-60% of the games? Bamford has had a decent year but that is in the Championship not sure if he can become 'world class' overnight...A loss here today is not going to be too damaging but the realization that we need another 'world class' striker has been evident now for a number of months..

What worries me is like last week we've had a week to work on options upfront on the training pitch but he has put out a finished Drogba, Fabregas and Cuadrado have played upfront for their previous clubs. Rumour is he has fallen out with Remy, which just makes you wonder.

For some reason I think, and hope, Falcao will be brilliant today. Not happy about Rooney being in MF, though it was pretty predictable. What is more surprising is that Rooney is at CDM...

 

Shaw is very strong defensively, but with McNair and him not having played in ages, it could be tough on that side. Herrera, Mata and Fellaini will need to be very good too.
