Not a fan of City or Liverpool, but I prefer City, I'd love it if City won the final, I can't stand some of the self righteous Pool fans, or their little group of plastic scousers. I've never understood why you'd support a Merseyside club, if you're not from Merseyside, how can you relate to a club whose supporters hate England and describe outsiders as wool? Dyke, 68, had initially said he would stand for a further year in office.

However, he said on Thursday that opposition to proposed reforms from some FA councillors and a minority of board members had made him reconsider.

Dyke said England should aim to reach the semi-finals of Euro 2020 and win the World Cup in 2022 when he took over from David Bernstein in 2013.

Phil Jagielka has called referee Martin Atkinson "arrogant" following Everton's controversial defeat by Manchester City in the League Cup semi-finals.

The Toffees skipper says he tried to speak to Atkinson to discuss City's dubious second goal but was surprised at the official's response.

"He told me my defending was brilliant," said Jagielka.

"It's difficult when things start going the wrong way and they become a little bit arrogant."
