April 11, 201610 yr Who knew that Ranieri was such a dashing man in his youth? Koeman's hair makes him look like a muffin And Fat Sam wasn't always fat! Am I reading it wrong or is Mark Hughes real first name Leslie?
April 11, 201610 yr City nowhere near selling out for the PSG game, unbelievable. Ha. ha United will always be the only club in Manchester.

April 11, 201610 yr Am I reading it wrong or is Mark Hughes real first name Leslie? Yes it is. Les Ferdinand's first name is Leslie too. It's interesting how Leslie has evolved into a female name. I think it was mostly a male name up until about 50 years ago (Leslie Howard, Leslie Nielsen) but now it's more commonly a female name. Hughes and Wenger rocking the perm I'm surprised how Pellegrini looks the same as he did 35-40 years ago. Pochettino looked like a badass.
April 12, 201610 yr City nowhere near selling out for the PSG game, unbelievable.Heard that their fans are dressing as blue seats on every matchday. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
April 12, 201610 yr Ha. ha United will always be the only club in Manchester. Not really - Utd just have the benefit of all the glory hunters and tourists. What does the Etihad hold - 60,000? Guess they should sell out but then I do wonder if we would be able to fill a 60,000 stadium. Maybe big games but we certainly wouldn't fill it week in week out. Should be a good game tonight, just a shame both teams can't field their strongest line-ups. Ah, just seen Bluegrahams post that it IS sold out at reduced capacity of 53,000. Fair enough. Why let the truth get in the way of a good story!! Edited April 12, 201610 yr by Nibs

I doubt city will get close to that, unless United drops off massively for a significant time.
April 12, 201610 yr Well United are arguably the biggest team in world football. I doubt city will get close to that, unless United drops off massively for a significant time. If they decide to keep LVG in charge they may well do just that!!

So actually it was somewhere in the middle - slow sales until they got a decent away result and then a scramble for tickets. And they call us plastic!
April 12, 201610 yr pastore is fit apparently, veratti could be ready for tonight, but blanc has been quiet about it (hearing he has been training alone); maybe a trick up his sleeve with that one, and luiz will be replaced with marquinos. If the above are true then i would say psg certainly have a stronger team tonight than the first leg. Edited April 12, 201610 yr by enigma
April 12, 201610 yr So actually it was somewhere in the middle - slow sales until they got a decent away result and then a scramble for tickets. And they call us plastic! Quick! reduce the capacity and we will pretend we can sell it out! Laughable club.
April 12, 201610 yr The latest Squires cartoon, this time it's on the spectacular demise of Aston Villa. Needless to say it's brilliant http://www.theguardian.com/football/picture/2016/apr/12/david-squires-on-aston-villas-miserable-season
April 12, 201610 yr Quick! reduce the capacity and we will pretend we can sell it out! Laughable club. Heard they had to resort to playing adverts on trams, local paper etc in build-up last few days to sell tickets...I'm sure we'd have problems selling out 60,000 for visit of Swansea, but not for a cl quarter final...the bridge always gets sold out in double quick time for the big games...in cl we can only host 37,000 or so to fit to trucks in but always get impression demand would be there for 60,000, as long as tie is in balance of course
April 12, 201610 yr Even a crap season like this has its funny side. Chelsea, United, City and Liverpool have all been utter pish, and Arsenal are still only 3rd! I said earlier in this thread that it's almost been worth living through our worst pl season just to see Arsenal fail again despite title being gifted on a plate...makes it all the more hilarious

Needless to say it's brilliant http://www.theguardian.com/football/picture/2016/apr/12/david-squires-on-aston-villas-miserable-season I look out for these every week, some weeks better than others, but always at least one nugget of gold!
April 12, 201610 yr and Van Gaal's always been ugly. .....and of course you know who's missing from that selection? A certain Gorgeous One who has always been truly and utterly drop-down dead gorgeous!
April 12, 201610 yr .....and of course you know who's missing from that selection? A certain Gorgeous One who has always been truly and utterly drop-down dead gorgeous! That's very kind of you BQ, but I'm not currently a premier league manager.
April 12, 201610 yr No Verratti, Pastore only on the bench and PSG apparently going for some weird 352 with two right-backs in the team. City are going through then. Balls.
