Saying that, back when Liverpool challenged for the title he was like a fan cheering them on. Like the City game in particular, he sounded depressed when they scored and nearly jizzed when Liverpool did. Even last season when Gerrard got red against United he actually said "oh no" when he saw the red card.

This is why i get annoyed be him. He picks and chooses when to get excited by a goal. The Benteke goal was amazing, but he never got anywhere near as excited than he did with Martial's goal.

Well of course Bentekes goal was a beauty and its a non contest. But coming on as a sub vs Liverpool, 19 yo and scoring a winner like that, WOW. Considering all the weight on his shoulders, that was a truly special goal.

Maybe if it was 10 or 20 years ago that would count for something

It was special because it was an important, first goal on debut in a big game, of course. But they asked 'better' which is a bit ridiculous.
