these arse c**ts chanting boring boring even when the match's over, while they park the bus the whole second half

f**king hell hate this bunch of bitter delusional classless f**ks, can't wait for september 19 when we smash them in a game that actually means something

Let them have their fun. If anything, it shows how much they have fallen over the years. They celebrate every minor victory like they have won the league title and are the best team in the world these days.

I am expecting about 1000 selfies today.

Let them have their moment, be classy.

Picked things up second half which was good to see, thought Willian was very sharp.Once Eden is back up to speed we should be ok but still feel we should have signed at least one big name signing to freshen things up this season.Think Arsenal are a genuine threat this year especially when Sanchez is back.

what did he do?

Shook all the arsenal players hands as they came back onto the pitch, before being snubbed by wenger and then he threw his medal to the crowd

Point 1..They were 10 days ahead of us in pre-season and we just flew back from tour.

Point 2..We may of won had we taken our chances

Point 3..We were marginally the better side second half

Point 4..The Jose record over Wenger had to come to an end sometime and I would rather today than in the league

Point 5..It's a wake up call to Jose and the board that we need a couple more in.

Just my view

spot on. Forgetting it is Arsenal for a second, to be upset over losing a Community Shield match is like being upset at losing to NYRB or going out of Asia Trophy/Emirates Cup etc

We will get sharper, and to be honest we looked better than them second half taking point 1 into account. Still think we will win the league, and I would not be surprised if point 5 comes to fruition and we do end up pressing ahead with whoever we want to sign

anyone criticising arsenal for 'parking the bus'... do me a favour. it's called defending, its a legitimate part of football. we need to be good enough to break down a defence, or good enough at the back to keep them out. cant complain when a team defends well, its what they are meant to do, and its also how we won a champions league

Anyone else thinks there's something going on behind the scenes at Chelsea? Mourinho's been wound up all preseason. I still think there's some lingering tension from that cech sale and he hasn't got over it yet.

wound up how ? And no I think all is well.

The Arsenal medical team will see to their chances again. Willshire is already crocked again. They'll never have a totally fit team. [emoji57]

Would have liked us to win it but they were the better team, we were in control in the second half but seems to me it was because Arsenal had decided early on to sit back and go for the counter. Had 2 great chances with Ramires and Hazard but apart from that I don't recall us doing much else.

Disappointing but not the end of the world.

I'm not sure people are actually complaining about Arsenal defending, i think they are just pointing out the hypocrisy of the Arsenal fans. It's ok for them to play that way but when we do it, it's somehow wrong. Well, that is how i am reading it anyway.

Very little between it in the end, we had 58% possession and only really created that Ramires header and Hazard effort over the bar. They played deep and caught us on the counter a couple of times, it felt like our stereotypical roles were reversed during moments of the game.

Like someone said previously, this loss could be beneficial and It will just focus the players a bit more going into the first game against Swansea. However much of a glorified friendly this, you could see Jose holding back some anger at the end.

Very close game overall and i can't wait until 19th of September, which isn't too far away to beat them for 3points.

Agreed - in any tally of trophies who counts the Community Shield? If you're counting those you must be a bit desperate.

People talking about classy this and classy that. Seems to me like some of you are desperate to be liked by opposition fans. Newsflash: they will never like us even we invent a cure for cancer and donate all our revenue to charity. Stop with this classy talk and let's get back to being what made us great in the first- not giving a f**k what they think of us and wining at all costs. Let's leave the classiness to the losers.

huh? the thing is nobody here criticizes arsenal for parking the bus

we're not a bunch of hypocrites like they are :laugh2:

Arsenal fans do.  Some are already claiming a treble.

No, really they are.  The shield is a pre season game, held at Wembley where i believe ticket sales go to charities. Obviously being played at Wembley raises more, so i agree in raising money for charity, but i 100% disagree it is in any way shape or form a competitive , meaningful match

Petr had a point to prove today and certainly proved it. However, he's certainly fell out of favour with me personally for the way he conducted himself, very cocky and laughing and smiling at everything we did.

Painful to watch. Thought we were an incoherent mess. Ramires on the right, Zouma at left-back. Falcao and Remy looking equally lost upfront. That was a pretty easy, comfortable win in the end.

We really needed to upgrade our defensive midfield and attacking options. Instead we're thinking of splurging over 30m on a young centre back.

With Costa facing injury problems we look actually in a worse position than last year.

If we don't make any further changes its going to be a frustrating season.

And he wasn't booed by the Chelsea fans whilst they booed fabregas. Yet guess who will be called classless.

I know it's early doors but I was disappointed with how we looked going forward. I guess it will come but I am a worrier by nature. Is it me or did Remy and Falcao look pretty isolated today? Good thing is as suggested before board will cough up to add depth, if Costa is going to continue to be a doubt then we need someone who can help unlock Falcao and Remy. Just my feelings....

It'll always be the same with the Charity/Community Shieild. When you win, it;s the first major trophy of the season. Lose and it's nothing more than a glorified friendly.

The real business begins next week.

Forgetaboutit.

I'm wondering about the chemistry between Hazard and Falcao.
