Who to buy in the next transfer window and who to sell ?

Considering Jose's recent track record with integrating players I would be surprised to see the team buying fringe players or prospects midseason. By the time Jose trusts them the season may be pretty much over.

Hopefully there have been some lessons learned with the likes of Cuadrado/Salah.

Maybe José's given up on having centre mids considering how poor the first-choice seem to be.

---------------------Courtois

Ivanovic-----Cahill-----Terry-----Azpi

----------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------

----------------------Oscar

Pedro-----Willian--------Hazard----Yarmolenko

-----------------------Costa

While I see what you are suggesting, that team would get over run in midfield. Nobody except maybe Willian would tackle back.

You're right, we'd have to stick Zouma up front with Costa so we'd be able to bypass the midfield entirely and guarantee that we'd be able to hold the ball up. Actually that could be Ivan's new role...

What do you think about Berahino for the next season?

I can't see Remy staying with us, I think it's just matter of time until he will request to leave. Same as Falcao, he is not good enough to be a striker in Chelsea these days. We will need to look for strikers and Berahino could be one of them. He's young, talented, has good finishing, has speed. We can make a good striker of him. 2nd choice for him in Chelsea would be fair enough.

I think one of Solanke or Bamford will be in the squad next season and my guess would be Solanke when/if he becomes Eredivise top scorer. He is also of a similar build to Costa so will be an easier switch for him like for like although he doesn't have that BPL experience.

So I think we will need a striker who is proven at this level and if we lose Remy that means bringing someone in.

Berahino is young and English and a very good finisher so he would probably be a useful squad addition.

Personally I'd prefer Austin as I think his all round game is better. And I think that is needed a lot more at a top club rather than a poacher like Berahino.

Another young English option that for me is better than Berahino would be Ings, but unfortunately he has just signed a long contract elsewhere.

Obviously there are better strikers out there that aren't English and Solanke or Bamford coming in would mean a home grown player wouldn't really be needed.

But some part of me wants to see as many in the squad as possible so for me I'd like to see us bring in Austin if Remy leaves.

We should be aiming to recreate the English core we had before.

Terry, Ashley Cole, Lampard, Joe Cole

Stones, Loftus-Cheek, Grealish?

I would rather they recall some players out on loan if possible to give truly adequate cover in defense (anyone better than rahman).

I wish we could get to the point to where we properly rotated a squad instead of burning them all out playing so much in one year.

I am against signing players just on the basis of them having one good game against us but after last night I will now contradict myself and say we should look to get Yarmolenko. He looked everything we have been missing when we signed the likes of Salah and Cuadrado.

Come on Roman, use your connections and get him signed up in January.

But the affect on the development on Kennedy and Traore?

They are only 19 & 20. IF we signed Yarmolenko, he would become first choice to play wide right but Kennedy & Traore would still get games if they were performing well - even if that meant coming off the bench (isn't Traore more left / central?). We need more competition for places and we currently don't have that.

Wide right is already occupied by pedro/willian. We don't rotate much, a good signing but not an ideal one.

Who misses out from the first team, Pedro, Willian, Hazard or Fàbregas?

Sign another attacking midfielder and two from Oscar, Kenedy, Traore would have to go because we're already overstocked.

Yeah, I guess I'm just getting carried away and in the heat of the moment forgot about Pedro!! Easy mistake to make as bar the first game, he has been pretty forgettable and I would take Yarmolenko over him any day but can't see us moving Pedro on so quickly unless rumours that he is struggling to settle in England have any substance.

For me, Dragovic is a player with great potential and he is already very good! Someone who can really help us. With him the Dinamo Kiew defensive is just super strong.

Propably most don't know him (maybe because he is austrian) but he stated when he wants to switch the club he only goes for a real big one. If not chelsea then i'm sure he finds another one.

In january we need to bring in a left or right back and a versatile box to box midfielder. I wouldn't mind Stones either. In the summer sell Fabregas, Ivanovic, Remy and release Falcao from loan. Buy another left or right back and a new backup striker.

I wouldn't sell Fabregas personally, also if we sell Remy then we're gonna need two strikers.

I think we can do alot better then Fabregas in our central midfield, his form for the last 9+ months have been mediocre at best and I don't think he provides the right balance for our central midfield. We need someone like Koke or Pogba. They are more powerful, aggressive and know how to pass the ball around. We could recoup most of the money for Fabregas with a sale next summer.

Remy seems to keep getting injured almost as much as Costa and unlike last year he haven't done anything when he has had the chance. I rather we bought someone that could give Costa a fight for his place, or gave us something diffrent in attack. Bamford could then be brought back and become our third striker.

Fabregas is a class footballer, wish people would stop ignoring his influence on our title and cup win last season. He played some good games after Christmas last year, people seem quick to forget that aswell.

Yes. He is a class player. Needs the right system though, right now.

Oscar and Hazard are also class players, but you cant fit everyone into the team because it will become unbalanced. What we have seen last year and this season is that we struggle to control the midfield, to fix that we need to either play three in the middle, or we find someone that fits better with Matic in central midfield.
