Emanalo The Problem

Featured Replies

Can we please stop pretending like we know who was responsible for what? We really really don't.

We can only make a guess and we'll see in years to come the impact Emenalo had, roughly.

Can we just agree the 2012 champions league win was all my work and move on?

Hahaha, I'm not saying we don't have a rough idea, we do, but that's it at best. We are being far too specific, Neil Bath was the one who was responsible for all the youth academy decisions, nothing whatsoever to do with Emenalo.. We know this how? We have no idea at all how much say or power Emenalo has had, he might have agreed or disagreed with the academy decisions for years but never got his way or got his way. No doubt he is responsible for some glory and some bad, we just don't know specifically what.

So why we're arguing about Neil Bath or Piet De Visser is beyond me..

Neil Bath transformed the academy, not Emenalo.

It wasn't my intention to denigrate Neil Bath's role in any way. I simply wouldn't know the inner workings of the setup but progress there was in Emenalo's watch.

We have to hire people that know and understand football.

What credentials did Emenalo have to get this job? Last I recall he coached a youth girls team in Israel. Incredible how he can go from that to an important job at a top football club. He must have friends in high places, only explanation I can think of.

It's always shocking to me to see posts like this. Even more shocking that majority of Chelsea fans seem to share this opinion that he somehow scammed his way to the position of Technical Director of one of the top football clubs in the world with zero prior qualifications or track record. Doesn't that sound ridiculous to you?

How is it that majority of Chelsea fans (at least online) don't seem to know what Emenalo's background was? Didn't even know his basic role at the club either when all that information is readily available online?

He has gotten blame for things that aren't his duty and been denied credit for things that were his duty. Amazing.

Sacked by Monaco. Didn’t get on with Jardim.

I know nothing about it, but if he’s fallen out with Jardim then doesn’t that pose a risk?

I’d rather us leave him in the past and move on.

Club Vice President for Monaco said this about the Henry sacking.

“We have to acknowledge that during the summer transfer window, we sold too many key players and, despite considerable investments, mistakes were made with respect to their replacements.”

Dunno how much Emanalo would have dictated their summer sales and purchases but looks like he’s going to take the fall for it.
