Posted December 6, 20159 yr If we dont start scoring we wont be winning anything anytime soon. I believe we need a new central midfielder and number 10. The ones we have now are just not cutting it. Costa needs a kick up the ass or send him on his way and get someone better. We DON'T need to change our manager, no matter how difficult things get. Hazard isnt a real #10, he needs to be on the wings. Maybe Isco??I fully believe we need to get Ibrahimovic for a year till we complete our team again then a new striker or hopefully Costa turns it around. PS: Sorry if this thread is kinda sh*t, Im new to threadmaking.Â
December 6, 20159 yr May that disgusting, arrogant scumbag never arrive here. I'd rather have Torres back. I think. (maybe not.)
December 6, 20159 yr We've got dozens of number 10's the only position we don't have anyone at the moment is striker.
December 6, 20159 yr Doesnt help recently playing with no striker. Robbie tried it against juventus with hazard 0-3,jose tried it against man utd with schurlle 0-0,then spurs and Bournemouth 0-0 & 0-1. Seeing a pattern in those scores?
December 6, 20159 yr We dont need a number 10, we have Oscar. He's so good Jose sold Mata and KDB instead of the Brazilian star

December 6, 20159 yr Author Oscar is too hot and cold. I can't honestly see him as a 10 for a club hoping to compete in all frontsÂ

December 6, 20159 yr Any way you slice it Jose is at fault. I think its interesting he is going on about a lack of players in the box since he the one who picks the team. I think hes correct but playing a false 9 and 2 attacking players who like to play through the middle and on the edge of the box is going to leave you with that problem. You want runs into the box, but only have one striker at a time to do that, and he has to go wide to compensate for the lack of width the others attacking players provide. Im sure Jose makes a point of telling players to make these runs but nobody does it. Unfortunately he has to play those players because he also hasnt left himself with other options. As much as we want Kenedy and Traore to play, they arent wide players by nature either. They both love to cut inside, same as Willian, Oscar, Hazard and Pedro. I think we've become too one dimensional and are paying for it. Everyone here seems to recognize a change in tactics is needed however I dont think we have the players to do it without leaving a few big name players out. I understand Jose sticking with some old names, I would do the same thing with the two teams I manage until someone stepped up to take their place. Who on the bench has really grabbed a spot by the neck so far? Id like to see us play with a 3-4-3 after Porto. ----Pedro----Costa----Willian -------------Hazard ----Baba---------------Ramires -------------Matic ------Zouma--Cahill---Dave 7 of that lot track back instinctively and Pedro is very willing to do it if asked. Ramires pinches inside naturally so in defense it looks more like 5-3-2. I think that solves the width issue with Baba and Ramires, who always looks better with space in front of him, running the sideline. That takes the burden off Pedro being our only wide player and gives Willian space with another threat, Ramires, on the right.
December 6, 20159 yr There's no goal scorer in this team, simple as that. You look at the team 5 years ago, with Drogba, Lampard, Kalou, Malouda, Anelka, Ballack etc, there weren't many flashy players, but most of them have good scoring ability and aren't afraid to shoot when the chances are there. I'm no fan of Malouda, but he never afraid to put a shot in when in position, and most of time are on target. This team just trying to score the perfect 25 pass perfect goal, or maybe just none of them have the confidence or ability to shoot. Score a goal is just an impossible art with the way we been playing.Â
December 7, 20159 yr Such a strange game is football. How things change... Just watching Mata the other day and thinking how influencial and magical he was whilst here. Seemed he could barely put a foot wrong and was always on hand to come up with a goal or an assist or both. Looks a shadow of what he was.
December 7, 20159 yr May that disgusting, arrogant scumbag never arrive here. I'd rather have Torres back. I think. (maybe not.) Torres and Rafa Benitez and we are all set ;)
December 7, 20159 yr We could play anyone up front...Remy, Traore, Abraham...doesn't matter...they can't score any less than zero goals.
December 7, 20159 yr Oscar is too hot and cold. I can't honestly see him as a 10 for a club hoping to compete in all fronts Oscar has been as hot as a chicken korma
December 7, 20159 yr Watching bony struggle at City makes me think how he would have been better off joining us...he's far more suited to our game and I think he would have led the line much better for us...bet Drogba would have been able to help him out too...he just looks lost at City, who don't play to his strengths...mind you, we had no chance of getting bony after City paid well over the odds for him...like they do with most of their players
December 7, 20159 yr Oscar has been as hot as a chicken korma  ......which has just come out of the fridge.  The complete lack of goal threat is worrying. Wouldn't mind if opposition keepers were being MOTM or we were hitting the woodwork but we literally don't look like scoring. You find yourself hoping for a free-kick on the edge of the box so Willian can at least have a go. I find it puzzling how he can be such a threat from free-kicks and yet from open play he just doesn't look like scoring AND his corners were sh*te on Saturday too.  Just underlines how much Hazard carried us over the line last season. Now his form has dipped and his goals have dried up we look a very average side all of a sudden.
December 7, 20159 yr The worst part is seeing all the attacking players with their backs to goal standing on the 18 yard line while someone is looking for a runner. No movement ,no intention, no creativity.
December 7, 20159 yr We have lost a lot of goals from the team in the form of Drogba+Lampard, last year with Cota's form and the defense chipping in we didnt really miss them but we really are feeling it this season.
December 7, 20159 yr Torres and Rafa Benitez and we are all set ;) Breaking out in a bad sweat just thinking about it....... Are you sure Slippy wont join as well.....
December 8, 20159 yr Author Torres at least didn't give a nasty attitude when he played so sh*t for us. He kept trying and not turned into a complete thunderc**t .
