Leicester v Chelsea - Mon 14 Dec - 20:00

Featured Replies

Leicester 3-0 Chelsea.

I understand that many of us have predicted a come back, but after a win we go on to lose again, so I get why some people would be pessimistic, but I cannot see us losing 3-0, I think it'll be a lot closer than that. Hopefully the players are fired up after that Porto win and they can go on and put in a solid performance, it'll be tricky but I'm highly doubting a 3-0 score line.

I think it will be an unchanged team, if it's up to me I would play the Baba for Ivanovic, simply because we need more attacking quality from the fullbacks, and speed to handle their wingers. They would take the 1 point, so I expect they will play like Stoke/WestHam/and the team we lost to last week. We just need to score first, then the space will open up for our attackers.

Can't see anything other than a CFC win..........if we play like we know we can.  Biggest disappointment is that he will start with Cesc and Ivan unfortunately.

A lot has happened in the 7 and a half months since we last played them, we won that game 1-3 and managed to keep Ulloa, Vardy and MahrezIs (who all played a part) goalless. Now they can't stop scoring between them.

But is this the tipping point in the season for both clubs ?

Have we reached our bottom, and have they reached their top ?

Just who is the underdog ?

The win over Porto will hopefully relieve the tension amongst our lot, whilst Leicester are now looking over their shoulders and become the hunted.

Going to be interesting to see which way this goes.

I can't see Jose starting with Cesc for this game, I think he's finally seen the light their.

I predict 2-3.

Leicester are a lower middle team temporarily at the top, Chelsea are a 1st or 2nd spot team currently near the bottom.

Logic dictates the balance will be restored.

Monday seems like a nice day for this.

Mahrez will now face the best defensive back in the league in Azpi, he won't enjoy this match so much. Vardy will have a tough time facing JT and our young beast Zouma. And if that's not enough, our double locker Ramires-Matic will help them out.

Defensive wise we've improved massively, 4 clean sheets in the last 7 games and only conceded 3 goals in total, plus our giant Tibo is back.

Now it's time to recover our goal scoring confidence and Leicester is a good game to do that, they will attack us which gives us space to counter attack them.

I hope you're right.

I suspect the team will be quickly brought back to reality and torn a new one. We are woeful domestically. Teams don't fear playing us any more and go on the attack, exposing us and making the team lose confidence in what they can do. They aren't used to being beat week in week out. It's new for them and it's new for the manager. Confidence is rock bottom even if performances have been okay. European teams haven't quite caught onto that fact yet which is why we're performing better in Europe.

The team needs to go out there and play with no fear. Only then will they start enjoying it more and playing with a bit of swagger that has eluded us this season. If they do that, then I believe we will win, but I'm still going to stick with the prediction we're going to lose.

The problem with that is that Mahrez and Albrighton (or Schlupp, depending on how cautious Claudio wants to be) tend to switch sides quite a lot; they'd probably be better off [generally] having Mahrez target Ivanovic and use Albrighton to predominantly hug the touchline on the right and ping in crosses. I wouldn't be surprised if they start with Ulloa to maximise the threat of Albrighton.

"I imagine myself finishing my contract with Chelsea. I have three and half years on my contract. After that I imagine myself coaching - not every club, there are some clubs I will never manage - but every club in the world."

It's not quite 'I want to be here for ten years' any more.

Leicester have 1 game plan, shut up shop and use Mahrez & Vardy to mount devastatingly fast counter attacks

stop or limit that possibility and their other stats suggest they can be got at

This should be a good game, we're starting to sort out the problem areas and they are full of confidence, I think if Fabregas comes back for this and we keep a clean sheet here we can feel a lot happier about our defensive frailties, if he doesn't and we keep a clean sheet maybe we can cut Ivan a bit of slack for his early performances as it will highlight the weakness that has made his life difficult.

Not giving up on Cesc but he really does either need to sit a few out or come back with a rocket up the opposite end to his magic hat.

Whatever the team lets be hoping there are a few surprises over the weekend before we kick off that tighten it all up a bit .

Agree with u mate. Our defence is improving. Last 5 games 1 goal conceded and one loss.

Don't know why I am over over confident for this one. Leicester will face real Chelsea.

With super midfield and clinical performance we can take all 3 points.

You dont think they'll switch Mahrez to the left once they see Ivanovic in the lineup?

I dont see this one going well for us. We'll have our hands full.

I actually think this is a game that suits us, Leciester will be expected to make a lot of the running and we will be dangerous on the counter.
