Without trying to be reactionary Matic was poor before that own goal. He was nowhere to be seen as Deeney continually dropped off and won possession.

We just seem to have no support close when we have the ball.

However, as I mentioned before its great to see overlapping fullbacks back. Brana is so much better when he is at the byline.

We were poor in that half and we still should have been in front. We'll win if we keep it up. Come on you Blues!

I thought we looked okay to be honest; if not for an unthinkably stupid moment from Matic we'd have gone in 1-0 up.

 

We were completely in charge for the first 15 minutes, looked wobbly for the next 15, and then in the last 15 we were better although both sides created chances.

 

I think that most of the players have been good other than the midfield. Fabregas looks hopeless off the ball (to the point that Pedro is having to race into the centre of the pitch to make interceptions outside our box) and looks like a huge risk when he's on the ball in his own half; further forward he is far more dangerous. Matic has looked shaky but reasonable, although he reinforced the 'midfield is the problem' idea with his brain fart in the box at the end of the half. Courtois had a couple of dodgy moments near the start but has grown into the game.

 

Reasonably optimistic for the second half although we are going to have to improve. Might be worth noting that Hiddink didn't look happy at all at any point during the game, and we're basically talking about the Uncle Buck of managers. I wouldn't be surprised if he was having a couple of 'brief conversations' over half-time...

 

Come on Chelsea!

They have won 4 in a row and we are in a crisis. One more lucky moment for them and we will lose this.
