I'm all for showing discontent towards the players but to boo individually as they're substituted? Just leaves a bitter taste.

But he has been sh*te for months, and was just as apathetic and sh*te today. Its literally the only way fans can make their feelings known. I dont like boo`s generally, but for Costa he needs to be on the end of some fans ire after his not arsed displays of late.

Oh I'm not disputing it's slightly tactless from the fans (although I dare say I would have had a boo myself). And yes, I'm 100% certain Terry would have clapped if he was booed off.

Agreed, but there were more clapping than booing. Do they not deserve an acknowledgment?

Maybe you're right, he's had great support up till now and still hasn't shown signs of improving. I dunno, I just don't like directly booing a player who plays for Chelsea, regardless of circumstances. I don't think anyone knows the best way to react tbh, we just react with our hearts
