Chelsea V Sunderland (PL) 19/12/15 KO: 15:00 BST

I suppose the 'bib toss' was the most visible example of player revolt which is why the fans gave him stick - that and the fact that he seems to spend more time on his arse this season than shooting at goal.

after this win, it's a guarantee that we are staying up right  Sorry after hearing all of the talking heads saying this was a relegation 6 pointed, I couldn't resist posted that bs...Please forgive me

Chelsea fans chanting Mourinho, that's great, show him support, but let's move on next week, this isn't Mourinho F.C, no problem with it today at all though. The booing of players is nonsensical, I hope this doesn't happen in the next game, especially those booing Ivan, you pay money for your ticket, but booing a great servant like that is pathetic and to repeat what has been said, singling out players based on conspiracies is ridiculous. Pictures of Hazard, Fab and Costa were defaced, there's just no sense in choosing scapegoats, whilst you give players who have been awful free passes.

Totally agree. 3 of the most influential players who won us the league are singled out based on speculation - totally pathetic.

I'm actually disgusted about the booing thing, I think the players have been an embrassmemt but adding negatives to a negative situation is just stupid. We need to support the team to salvage out sesson. I also agree next week lets move on from Jose, priority is salvaging our season. I am happy for some of these players to move on in January or the Summer but for now let's support them.

First things first the booing of individual players doesn't sit well with me. Until there is concrete evidence that any player has given less than 100% for this club and jose in his time here it certainly isn't right to boo them.

To the people who feel our performance dramatically improved today now jose is gone I disagree. We were fortunate enough to score an early goal for one of the only times this season. That makes a massive difference to the game against a team like sunderland who come to defend. Who knows how it would of played out if we didn't get that goal.

Really hope the jose chants continue for a while to come yet. But please until there is concrete proof (and by that I don't mean the daily mail claiming an inside source) that a player has downed tools or gone against jose we need to cut out the individual booing

At a guess roman abramovich, must of sat the players down and gave them a tune up.

Much better team effort overall on field today.

They should make Steve Holland the next Manager.

Not worried yet, they will approach the game differently than under Jose. I hope.

Your faith was rewarded, we did look fresher going forward.

Just finished watching my recording of the game. Lot to take in there.

As someone still angry with the players over Jose being fired, I did not enjoy hearing our players, or some of them getting booed. Jose chants were fine, and expected. The "where were you" chants amusing, but the booing was too much and spoiled the game for me.

So who looked better post Jose? Have to say oscar was man of the match for me, really good display. Pedro also played well.

Defence was still all over the shop, Costa was useless up front again but that does not surprise me. Is probably more the case that he is just not a top player any more, case of the Torres or falcao in him imo, rather than him not playing for Jose.

Matic was even worse though. Blind pass led to their free kick, nearly played Defoe in. Terrible.

Finally how bad are sunderland? Deary me awful team.

Will get a much better test against watford.

Well done on the win lads. Given what Norwich did today we should be expecting to win our next 2 games and move up to mid table.

Don't think any of us who were there should be judged for our reaction...I didn't boo, but certainly sang for Mourinho and joined in 'where were you'..too many of these players have downed tools this season and if the club aren't going to do anything about it, the fans must point out that it's not been good enough instead...those advocating doing nothing are sending the message that the kind of behaviour and lack of effort we have seen is condoned and ok...bollox to that

Where was this sentiment with the other coaches especially AVB?

If you genuinely don't know the answer to that then you are an idiot.

I wasn't at the game but I do understand why people boo'd some players. Theyve been as frustrating as hell all season and a lot of us probably would have boo'd them weeks ago if our social norms around football didn't make that a wholly unacceptable thing to do. Yesterday was a chance to air the supporter's sense of grievance that some plyers have sold us short all season. Maybe they also sold Jose short too.

Jose is rightly revered by the fans but once the emotion sparked by his departure ebbs away, I think we will see that this group of players can do great things if they are given a bit of freedom to just express themselves and play football. At least I hope that will be the case.

I'd be really disappointed if booing and singing José's name continues v Watford. We have to move on. I am hoping that players who were the target for booing yesterday will have the maturity to think that maybe they haven't given their best up to now and take the opportunity they now have to put that right.

Booing was probably unnecessary. But the chants of Jose Mourinho and Where Were You When We Were sh*t, were spot on

I think the booing of certain players was bang on, fair play to them for having the balls to stand up and be heard.

I'm beginning to think I'm an idiot as I barely understand half of what's being posted these days.

:)

I know what you mean .. the only thing I am certain of is that in a hypothetical Miss Chelsea Manager pageant, the winner is Mourinho by a country mile !

Paying fans attending matches have every right to boo whoever they want.

They are the foundation upon which the club is built and if they are unhappy about an aspect of the club they are fully entitled to voice that.

Intelligent post, well put.

as much loved as jose was he had to go, something was broke and he could not fix it, i do not buy this scape goating the players, i can think of plenty of games this season where they were all trying hard but it just has not been happening. the buck has to stop with the manager if he can not get that team playing.
