January 14, 201610 yr Why nobody wants to sign Alexandre Pato (except us maybe)... http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/why-nobody-wants-sign-alexandre-pato#:n4s6Mlffyj131Q
January 14, 201610 yr well if he was 'reborn" last year at the age of 26, maybe it is worth a gamble if the price is low enough
January 14, 201610 yr wasn't he offered huge wages to go play in asia, but instead declined because he would prefer a move to europe? can't knock his ambition if true. Edited January 14, 201610 yr by enigma
January 14, 201610 yr He parties too much, and is always unfit. It's believed that many mysterious injuries in his career at Milan were him being in drug rehab because he was a cocaine addict.
January 14, 201610 yr Can only see this going badly. Still will be better value than falcao though. We'd probably better off if we signed Charlie Austin or some other stop-gap striker for a reasonable fee.

The only positive so far out of the rumor, at least he's just not here just for the $. This looks awfully like another Torres case, only positive is he has scored some goals lately.

January 14, 201610 yr If we sign him, it will be because of his name, it certainly won't be for his ability anymore. Pato has not become the player people thought he would become. I take it this is from your extensive knowledge of the Brazilian league?
January 14, 201610 yr I take it this is from your extensive knowledge of the Brazilian league? I'm sure Scott means we can use him to practice shooting...
January 14, 201610 yr brazilian guy on twitter said in the last 3 years he hasnt had one "bad" injury, so that rumour is nonsense. and last year he scored 29 in 55 games roughly.
January 14, 201610 yr Already watched some of his clips. More technical on the ball and seemed he played on the flanks at Sao Paulo. Just my two pence...
January 14, 201610 yr We'd probably better off if we signed Charlie Austin or some other stop-gap striker for a reasonable fee. I am pretty sure we would be but that would be too sensible really.
January 15, 201610 yr Read this and he sounds a perfect acquisition to join the circus that is our club http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/why-nobody-wants-sign-alexandre-pato#:foJzdutacz_QeA
January 15, 201610 yr Are there any genuine ideas as to who we could sign as a striker? A realistic one. Top class strikers are very hard to come by nowadays.
January 15, 201610 yr 11 million on this injury hit chap 18 million for Lacazette are we f**king stupid?
January 15, 201610 yr He'll play 3 games a season due to injury, never find match fitness, absolute flop waiting to happen. He's been away from the big boys for too long. Scored 28 in 89 in Brazil. Altogether looks like we'll sign him
January 15, 201610 yr 11 million on this injury hit chap 18 million for Lacazette are we f**king stupid? £18m won't get you Lacazette.
January 15, 201610 yr Don't get the hype around lacazette. Anyone give insight if the hype is warranted?
January 15, 201610 yr Maybe we're trying to add big names to our hall of fame as proof they played here. We do like signing big name forwards at the latter end of their prime: Weah Crespo Shevchenko Falcao And now possibly add Pato.
January 15, 201610 yr Pato's not even a big name. He was a promising young striker at Milan who nosedived and ended up playing in Brazil. He's a mid table EPL striker...then again we are a mid table side just now.
January 15, 201610 yr Unless you have watched him playing for Corinthians or Sao Paulo a lot, not just highlights or youtube, then it is hard to judge how well or poor he would do with us. Looking at the strikers that have been linked with us, none of them make you really want the club to sign them. Vardy £30m because of a good run of form scoring 11 games running, aged 29 Bacca 30m euros, aged 29 Jackson Martinez, flopped in Spain Ade-f**king-bayor, even for free he can f**k off Berahino, probably £20m minimum, bad attitude and not the finished article, potential is what we'd pay for with him. Pato £11m. Not seen him since he left Milan so cant judge. None of them make me pray the club sign them, Lacazette has done sod all lately supposedly and doesnt want to leave until the summer. Without CL and with Atletico Madrid's impending transfer ban, can forget about Griezmann as they cant replace until summer 2017. Higuain, no thanks. Cavani.. yeh id take a punt on him
