Hiddink won't play Mikel-Matic against teams that doesn't have a deadly strike force. So don't expect both of them to start this match but you can bet they will both return to the starting lineup against PSG.

Last 3 games v Newcastle at Stamford Bridge we have won by an aggregate score of 7-0 (2-0, 3-0 & 2-0) hopefully we keep that run going with another win and clean sheet.

Hazard needs to start this game, he needs game time to hit his peak form again. After all him and Costa are our best shots at beating PSG.

We've only ever had major problems against Newcastle away from home so I'm not worried about them being a bogey team of ours for home games against them but I do worry about our current form.

 

Last season's side would definitely win this but with this current side anything is possible.

I haven't seen much on this thread about Costa's situation, but it appears that Costa broke his nose in practice yesterday. I haven't heard any reports of his availability, but Hiddink said in his pre-match presser that he feels DC will play vs the barcodes.

The question is whether he can play at his normal level. I personally can't imagine that wearing a face mask doesn't affect you in some way. Hopefully the effect on him will be small.

I think this is as good as a 'must win'.  We need to get away from the 'extended' relegation zone and shove Newcastle right back down there.  Unless Newcastle play exceptionally well I can't see anything other than 3 points.

Yeah, about to do the same. About to leave, have some beers and food, and in my case is the MT lower with my missus (the friend I normally go with couldn't make it today). Should be a good game and we should get the three points. I'm always optimistic hours before the match, then I start to get nervous and pessimistic towards the kick off hehehehe. C'mon you Blues!
