Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager

The two transfer windows really drove Conte nuts, we were on a decent run towards the end of the year then as soon as the transfer window opened everything went down hill.. Most of us agree he's right about it, but by putting everything in the open, and let it affect his judgment on the field is not the best way to go about it.

I'm not saying anybody is wrong at all about these rumours but what i don't understand about Conte's supposed attitude during these transfer windows is the fact that his last job had no transfer activity involved and weren't the team before that under a transfer embargo. In fact Italian football has fallen through the floor financially in recent years (I think). So my point is, wouldn't this all be a bit "de rigeur" for Conte and hasn't he already proven that he can get the best out of "average" players if they work hard and play to his standards. Didn't he use that cr@p centre forward from Sunderland as his main Italian striker after all.

It was Pelle from Southampton wasn’t it? I can’t think of many Italian strikers that or playing at a decent level to be honest, I don’t think he was spoilt for choice there!

I was thinking of that Giacherini fella actually, but your point confirms mine i think in that Conte is used to working with second rate goods

I completely forgot about that bloke, had a bit of pace but no brain to do anything with it? I think you should delete his name from your post in case a lurking board member decides to put a bid in.

Lol. Many a true word...

As far as I'm concerned the loss of Conte will be a total disaster for Chelsea. This guy is one of the best managers in the world. The idiot Russian owner has no idea what he is doing and the signings of Drinkwater and Barkley, clearly not requested or sanctioned by Conte, are a sign of where we're heading. Mid-table at best.

WTF gives you or us a sense of entitlement, Roman put us where we are, which is really punching above our weight, long may Roman reign, he knows what he's doing, its a different way to the rest of the PL, but it f**king works...

Irony would be if this guy took notice of Chelsea after Roman's arrival.

We let him down, that's the bloody truth. I dont like his decisions recently, his line-up, his complaining in front of the media, the whole rotation stuff,  but we made him act like this with our policy. Now we are probably bringing Carlo back, because he's literally the last good option left.

Then you have no idea about the club, since 2003 we are right there with Utd, but without roman we'd of done nothing, Irony i doubt you know what it means!!!

You do realise we finished 2nd in the EPL, won a UEFA CWC, a League Cup, 2 FA Cups and a UEFA Super Cup in the six years before Roman's arrival? Hardly nothing!

2000 - Chelsea today became the first English top-flight side to field more than one player born in the 21st century in a single domestic match (Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi). Youth.

So do you guys feel good, surprised, indifferent? I think it tells we have some good players coming through the ranks who are still far away from making a differece.

We were also bankrupt, on the process of liquidation.

Is that what you meant and if so, I hope so.

No we weren't. In £90m worth of debt, yes, but NOT about to be liquidated. Unless you mean we would have had to cash in some assets (players) to raise money, but that is not bankruptcy, nor is it liquidation.

I see you missed the reference then.

Don't know how. When our assets were valued higher than our debts. Shouldn't believe everything you read in the Daily Star.

Similarly nobody seems to have actual public knowledge of Roman's financing structure of Chelsea. I have read in more than one report that it is in the form of a loan which a holding company repays. Perhaps we might be bankrupt again then?
