What is this buffoon still up to? Injured? No time for sulking, need him to start scoring again because goals are rare these days unless we score early then the floodgates tend to open. Any more blanks in front of goal will cost us with big teams coming up.

Buffoon, seriously?

Yes it is sad but is that really enough to make someone miss 3 weeks of work? When my grandfather died i had one day off then was back in after the weekend.

Willian had less time off when his mum died and he went back to Brazil.

I believe he also has been suffering from a persistent back injury...

Thats why i said about Willian, you dont have 3 weeks off work because a pal died.

Exactly my point. I actually hope he is injured because if its all this for a friend it a bit worrying. Seem to remember Lamps scoring in the Champions league against Liverpool a week after his mother died.

Not as bad as the complete numpty who was wishing serious injury on our players yesterday Val. After a little time off hopefully they will learn not to do that again.

And Mikel playing the same afternoon his father was kidnapped in Jos, Nigeria.

Its almost as if people are different and act differently to similar situations......

just further backs up the notion that he's weak minded imo. He'll be out for an entire season when a close family member dies.

you have no idea of his state of mind prior to this death, or how the death of someone will effect him, yet you decide he`s weak minded with no evidence or understanding. This says more about you than him.

Let me guess, he should just man up, he's paid loads etc... Blah blah

His mate died last week, so 3 weeks off is a stretch, he had been suspended and injured. Also I don't it's fair to compare a sudden death in a car accident, to dying from cancer.

Willian, Frank, and Mikel, all had time to come to terms with what was going to happen, and like dkw said, everyone deals with things differently.

He's missed some sitters, and had some poor games, but I don't think the death of a friend should be used against him.

That's the idiot who said that being on the front line in a war was "just another job" and equated it to him playing with a calculator.  Just a shock-monkey, mate, says things just to get a rise I think.  No-one can be as stupid as to actually believe a lot of what he says and still function in society without 24-hour carers.

Being a soldier is just another job? People choose what profession they go into. My point was why should someone be able to be sexist or have preferential treatment because of the job they chose?

I was just going off when he last played, didn't have a clue when he died tbh just heard that rumour going round.

Would any other employer give someone three weeks off? Which was my point.

In a way if he does not play and gives Giroud the opportunity for a full 90 this might work very well for us, perhaps a silver lining in a cloud.

Yes I heard he had a back injury and then shortly after a close friend had died. We don't know what bonded them yet if he knew the deceased's family well then you can understand him taking a few more days.

To be fair, the person that said to have served in a war, was a total numpty, trying to backtrack after he was ridiculed for a very sexist remark and then played the "I fought a war" card.

Don't let facts get in the way of Yorkey being able to take a pop shot at me.

Yorkley's bark is worse than his bite   And you were not terribly empathic towards a person's grief.

Anyway, I suppose Morata's absence is a combination of factors.
