Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2016/2017

A classic win win game for me, one set of supporters will be gutted and that can only be good. Unless it is a draw which is also a good result for us.

I really hope its a rancorous, nasty game, with a few sendings off  and disgraceful scenes at the end. Liverpool winning one nil until extra time with Rooney scoring the equaliser, Mourinho getting up in Klopp's face and Rooney booked for over celebrating would be nice.

I also hope one of the Liverpool players tweaks Ibrahimovich's big beaky nose, resulting in a scuffle.

Having said all that it will probably be a boring score draw, with no incidents at all.

Just the one paper reporting on Leicesters title defense being the worst in history so far.  Strange, I swear they were all reporting it last year.

Can't see Liverpool losing tonight unfortunately.

Yeah I'm sad to say, I think they'll batter United. Still hoping for some touchline controversy though.

Maybe i'm the only one but i hope Liverpool absolutely batter United tonight. Preferably 2/3-0 if possible. Don't think it will happen but that would be great too me.

More important than all this northern nonsense, Chris Powell's latest:

Also at Derby Chris Powell, who returned to his role as assistant manager after McClaren’s arrival, provided more evidence that he is in fact the nicest man in football. Before the game he was larking around with some ballboys, when one of them nutmegged him with a backheel. Rather than tick off the lad for his impertinence, he high-fived all the ballboys present. Then afterwards, as he was leaving the stadium, an eager fan approached him to ask if he’d sign a picture of himself, the problem being that the photo he was handed was, oddly, of former Leicester striker Ade Akinbiyi. As he’s Chris Powell, he took it in good heart.

I hope United lose. They have to play on Thursday before travelling to us on Sunday. Maybe even bearing the Manchester derby in the EFL Cup on the Wednesday after in mind.

A good time to play them.

A draw would be the best result for us, Liverpool are playing better, to be honest. Their attack is creative, got speed and good finishing.

Going to be an interesting match, I think 2-2 would prove that match.

Watching the game one wonders how Liverscum were able to beat us. If it weren't for the two amateurish defensive mistakes they would have never won. Manure dominating the midfield and Mourinho is even playing Fellaini (why would any team play him as a first option!?)

Think United will knick this.

Sturridge and Can has beenr really bad.

Very tactical game, Man United can't create any chances because they have no playmaker and Liverpool can't create any chances because of United's high pressing.

Herrera is talking more than playing.

Very disappointing first 45 with little quality of note. It was bubbling a bit and was hoping it would all kick-off but both sides lacking.

A draw will suit but hope for a bit more action in the second half and a couple of red cards would do just fine.

If we can exploit Fellaini's mispositioning, and we maintain the solidity in our back, we'll win Manure next weekend. Also, their midfield with Herrera and Fellaini doesn't strike me as a strong one, although Herrera is a quick and skilful player, he is not too strong. I'd worry more about Rashford v. Alonso.
