Thing is, we have a pretty good away record and we've played very well against the likes of Woolwich and Man City away, especially last season and their pitch is pretty similar in size to Wembley.

I don't think we can blame the pitch either, or the atmosphere or Wembley...
obviously though if this was at the lane we would have won easily....."      !!!

Whilst the fan in me can agree with you, the fact is since the Russian bought them they have averaged more than a trophy per season, including 4 League Titles, 4 FA Cups, 3 League Cups, CL & an EL.
To an advertiser/partner/shirt supplier our 1 League Cup in that same period wouldn't inspire them to lump on Spurs, we really do have to earn our Spurs so to speak.

I get that since Roman's dodgy roubles, the Chavs have earned a bigger marketing share, due to being more popular in say the far east and emerging markets. Their fanbase at home though is still no bigger than 40k, they don't sell out their CL games or attract a bigger following even after those trophy wins.

We after years of mediocrity during the 90s and early 00s are building ourselves back into a proper elite team, not through someone ploughing £££ into our squad, but by trying to do it the right way of buying players who are value for money and trying to develop our own via state of the art facilities and coaching, plus the new stadium. That is surely a marketing persons dream to buy into. Our supposed £30m a year Nike deal is double that of UA, we've got to take small steps in the right direction. If we continue to develop along with a strong home grown quota, I'm sure our future commercial deals will reflect our standing.

Meanwhile, bookies are suspending bets on Conte's future at Chelsea.

If Fenerbahce beat or hold United to a draw tonight, I think it's only right to go out and bring a doner kebab in to enjoy listening to the United fans in meltdown on talksport later on tonight. Cundy will give it to Mourinho on the sports bar, He always goes for the throat with fans of clubs like United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

With all this talk of the supposed ill effects of playing at Wembley has anyone stopped to consider that Spurs are just a bit sh*t?

The Pope told them they couldn't use the Olimpico...

Legia aren't exactly 'unknown', they're one of the most successful clubs in the history of Polish football.

Unknown to me ;p

Apparently Mourinho said this about Mkhitaryan

"He has to do more. It's as simple as that. We have big expectations at the club."

Now i'm all for criticising a player if they aren't doing enough, but he's been injured and has barely got any minutes on the field at United.

Mourinho treating certain players differently seem's to have become a nasty habit of his in recent times. Schurrle, Mata, Loftus-Cheek and Luis for us and now Schweinsteiger, Mkhitaryan and Depay at United. I don't care what anyone says, this cannot be good for team morale when the manager is doing things like this.

When Mourinho was sacked last season, i thought it would be best if he took a break from the game, i still stand by that. He's starting to look clueless at the moment. He's often just standing on the sidelines looking like he doesn't know what to do. His substitutions are very similar to ours last season too. When things go wrong, he seem's to just chuck a bunch of players on to try and get the team out of a mess.

His team's look so easy to play against now. Mourinho's tactics just aren't working anymore, he's been found out.

Wenger has won the same amount of games in his last 8 matches as Mourinho has in his last 42.

Taken of Redcafe.

Is this league games or all games ? if it's all games then they are wrong. I'm not sure about league games, i think they may be wrong about that too though.

Wow! I'm shocked by that - hadn't realised how poor his record has become. How long before he gets axed at United?

End of season.

I found it interesting the fans backing Jose on redcafe basically have no problem with him spending all the money in the world in January and next summer. it's just money they say. Yet how many of them were deriding us for 'buying' the league before?

In a broader sense the fees for players are getting out of hand and I see no end to it as long as fans stick around. As long as a club has a rich owner or is at a certain level paying 100m for a player has no consequence financially. If Pogba never plays another match for United they would still be just fine, or just as financially stable if you like, because they've reached a point of no return. Real and City are very much at that level as well

You only need to look at the Chelsea Transfers forum to know that a large proportion of our fans want Conte to "buy the title" too.

They have to pay 40 millions to Adidas to cancel their current deal too. Like this they may cancel deal with Nike in the next few years if they are able to get better money from someone else in the future
Probably true, but they lose one year worth income with every cancellation. All things considered, this deal isn't that mind boggling by Chelsea.

Still not that a terrible deal for them given how poor they have been on the pitch. I am struggling to think many reasons why any big company would offer $$$ for any sponsorship deal with Chelsea. They don't have superstars, may be except Hazard, but even he is a second tier. The rest of their team have several top players, but very few marketable ones. They are not in CL either, i.e., the companies won't be able to advertise their products to the continent, and indeed, worldwide. They may not be in CL next season either. The numbers must be based on the fact that they are a London club, and they have amassed some global following during the Abramovich era. Still, if they continue to be poor, I can see interest in them dying fairly quickly.

Well, if this person thinks this way about us, then he must be sh*tting himself when it comes to his club.
