I would rather see strict rules applied to the time wasters than completely change the game like that. Let's use the game we had against West Brom earlier in the season as an example. It was quite clear they were time wasting from the first half and the ref allowed it to happen. As soon as the time wasting begins, give them a warning, if they continue, give out a booking and add the correct amount of time onto stoppage time and then if they continue, keep giving out bookings and add time to stoppage time. If we end up with 7-10 minutes of stoppage time and a load of players on yellow cards, so be it.

The game doesn't need a drastic change, it just needs the current rules to be enforced more.

Until there's a proper 'game clock' like in rugby and US sports like basketball, where there's a time keeper as well as a ref, we can never really know what the correct amount of stoppage time is. At the moment, the crowd is very much in the dark about when the ref is going to blow up for half-time or full-time, which leads to suspicions of ref bias. With a game-cock, at least the timekeeping is transparent.

If there were a game clock, it would eliminate time-wasting as the ref could simply say 'Time off', add ten/ twenty seconds or whatever, seconds, book the player, and there's no possible advantage to the time-wasters.

I wish we played Real late 00s, we would have smashed them, i recall them getting tonked 4-0 at Anfield then 6-2 at home to Barca yet Cassilas got MOTM both times. This Real however i'd rather avoid, i think we have a chance vs anyone else but this current Real side would grind us down into submission.

Not saying we should be scared, but we have to look at the reality of our chances against them as well. If we draw Madrid then we will have to get on with it, but our chances of winning the CL would be a whole lot better if we avoid them.

I never really rated Salah as a top class winger, he's lightning quick and with Mane on the other side they could have the fastest attack in the league.
