I feel a bit dirty, cheering on the Spuds to beat CSKA, so they can slog it out for the next months on Thursday nights.

I know it's a meaningless game and they have rotated the squad but Leicester are getting hammered again, Is Ranieri safe at all costs after last season or is he still disposable? I just hope they don't end their bad run on Saturday against us.

Ok here's my biggest pet peeve in football, it's said by fans, pundits etc "[Insert Team Name] can beat anybody". It's the dumbest thing ever said in the Sport in my opinion. Of course they can, that's the beauty of football, on any given day either of the two teams involved in a match can win. Yes I just saw Charlie Nicholas say this about Arsenal and it winds me up every team I here that line about any team. It's the most obvious statement in the world.

Another one is when they say "You couldn't write this", usually said when a big team is beaten by a lower league team.........Of course you could write it, why the hell couldn't you ? Also, it's not exactly a rare thing that happens in football, you get upsets every season.

Tottenham are hilarious. They finally get themselves into the Champions League again, then they play a weakened side against Monaco and go out of the competition in the group stages. Then a couple of weeks later they play a strong side to get into the Europa League............if they wanted Europa League football that badly then they should have just aimed for 5th rather than the top 4 last season

Reminds me of that Private Eye article:

Slight off topic...considering how much United paid for Pogba, I am astonished at how little stick is getting. Apart from one really good goal, he's done absolutely nothing. Remember the scrunity that Torres was under every single game when he signed for us? Pogba is getting nowhere that amount.

To be fair Pogba's been nowhere near as bad as Torres was for us.

So the teams Leicester could potentially get in the next round (nice one Marco Reus):

PSG
Benfica
Bayern
Bayer Leverkusen
Real Madrid
Sevilla

They can't get Bayern.

...that's Arsenal draw ;)

At least it was noticeable how bad Torres was, unlike with Pogba who you forget is even playing in most games

Anyone here listen to 5 live? A Leicester fan rang in saying that they should sack Ranieri and get Iain Dowie in :laugh2:

Robbie Savage was hilarious saying "IAIN DOWIE? YOU'D IAIN DOWIE?!" :laugh2:

It's crazy how fickle football supporters are these days.

Considering what Ranieri provided for Leicester last season, I'd treat him like a god if I was a supporter of that club.

Leicester are going through a significant slump, but he surely has to be afforded some patience and leniency for what he achieved with that club and giving him a chance to turnaround their form.

If Ranieri is gone by the end of the season, then I really believe there's no hope for any top-class manager these days.

I think it would only be justified for Leicester to sack Ranieri if they are relegated, otherwise he deserves to stay at the club if he wishes to stay there for another season at the very least.

This is very true. I'd even forgotten they'd bought him !

In fairness Ranieri is doing a pretty appalling job this season. Last night's completely spineless performance notwithstanding, despite the side looking terrible in the majority of fixtures, he has changed nothing and largely kept to the same XI, despite players like Mahrez being completely out of form and players like Gray consistently impressing in the few opportunities they get. It's somewhat excused by the fact that Leicester have a total lack of midfield (particularly noticeable without Drinkwater), but ultimately Amartey and Mendy are players who came in under Ranieri's watch.

Also... imagine Bielsa at Leicester!

Looks like Viz rather than Private Eye. Either way, they're the two funniest magazines out there.

You may be right, it was one or the other.

Incredible how hot and cold players can run. My guess is he's still havin a party

Vardy's reverted to his career mean of running around a lot but only scoring about five goals a season.

Everton have donated £200,000 for cancer treatment for Bradley Lowery, a young Sunderland fan who was a mascot at the Sunderland/Everton game last night! :JC_doubleup:::clap2:::rock:

Unfortunately, things have taken a desperate turn for Bradley Lowery. I've been in touch with a friend of their family a few times over the last couple months, and while this isn't really a surprise the way things were going, nothing can prepare a family for news like this.

Bradley never got to use the money so lovingly donated by the Sunderland fans and the Everton owners because his condition deteriorated quickly to the point that starting the new treatment was too risky. Two days ago Bradley's doctor gave the family the option to either do no further treatment, or to attempt the treatment despite the condition of his body. If they do nothing, he has 2 months to live. If they try the treatment, the doctor believes it's unlikely that the outcome would be any different, and he would suffer from the side effects of the treatment; the side effects could actually kill him. The doctor said that if it were his son, he would do nothing. Can you imagine having to make that choice especially at this time of year? The family has chosen to proceed with one round of the new treatment and then stop if the side effects are too severe.

Even if the treatment is partly successful, in all likelihood, this will be Bradley's last Christmas. He was first diagnosed in 2013 at the age of 2, so when he departs, he'll do so with no memory of life without cancer, without pain, without needles, without stark hospitals, without seeing everyone around you in tears and feeling responsible for their grief.

This is so upsetting. How can so many awful people live to their 90s and drift away in their sleep, while a 5 year old boy spends 2/3 of his life not living and growing, but dying?

F**K CANCER.

Heartbreaking. What a brave little boy.
