Cos no-one wants to buy him.

No besiktas was ready to pay 5-7 M euros but Chelsea wanted 15 M for him ! It s ridiculous

We really dropped the ball with this one. How the hell did we scout a player, drop a shed load of money for him; and then essentially leave him to rot.

Probably our best finisher, but a low football IQ by the look of things (must be best mates with Ross The boss?!) and contributes very little else to any team he plays for.

Seems like a good guy, so hope he finds a home....

We should have taken the money and just moved on.

Extended is contract by a further year before loaning him out. Strange business

Cuz of stupid besiktas , i am a besiktas and chelsea supporter too 🙂 . Besiktas dont have much money and chealsea asked for a higher price . We will see next year but i dont think besiktas can pay more than 7-8 million euros( 6-7 million pounds)

besiktas also asked loftus cheek for loan from Chelsea. But Chelsea  rejected it 😞

You can only assume players like Michy generate some income, presumably through a loan fee, that the club see it worth retainig them.

Each player is probably only earning us something like £2m in loan fees what when you've got 10-15 players out on loan it adds up.

I can't see any other reason for us retaining so many players that clearly have not future at Chelsea.

Actually think he's looked quite decent in pre-season so far.

I can't remember who it was but someone posted on here that he would be a decent option to have from the bench and I don't disagree with it to be honest. I don't think he's good enough to start regularly but he has shown for us when he has been here he can be a great impact sub late in games.

Better than Havertz, so what does that say about Kai?

Don't think Havertz is a player to lead the line tbh. In fact, not really sure where Kai's best position is.

Some nice first time knock off's to the wingers and isn't afraid to take a shot. I can't believe i'm saying this in 2022 but he might be our best option at the moment.

Kai is vastly overrated on here and in general imo. Though maybe had we got the Kai from Bayer he would have met those expectations. That hit of Covid makes me think he is long haller and may never meet his potential.

I rate Havertz tbh. When he played as the 9 a handful of times last season we looked a much better team than when Lukaku was playing. His link up play etc and movement were quality at times - and he got a few goals playing through the middle too.

I personally would like to see him have a full season as the main man through the middle and see what happens.

I think you will get your wish with Lukaku thankfully gone.

That's the key. Even when he doesn't play well himself him up front facilitates the team doing so (case in point Real away).

Watching 10min highlights (DM me if you want the sacred secret links) I had to log in just to jot down how bledy awful I though Michy actually was, Better positioning than lukakpoo but couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo!

We really need a bit more magic for a push to the silverware tbh

However it was a nothing game during pre season and he may well be a decent option along with a strong front line

Whenever he had the ball I was thinking 'he wont score watch' and he would find a way to miss or get rucked off the ball every single time haha against league 1 level players

Meh, I'm waiting til the first few games before judging

With the current sh*t show up front showing no sign of ending, and the latest news of Aubameyang's broken jaw, I wonder if there is a chink of light for Batshuayi to come forth with the best resurrection since Lazarus ?

Well this is a surprise. Admittedly I've lost track of Forest's signings to the point that I had to consult their Wiki page (I made the 'I'd forgotten about him' noise out loud more than once) but surely he's behind at least Johnson and Awoniyi in the pecking order? They've signed Emmanuel Dennis too but based on the one match I've seen of theirs so far it seemed like Cooper was using him as a wide man more than as an orthodox centre-forward.

It's the most scattergun the East Midlands has seen since the South Nottinghamshire Hussars Yeomanry adopted the 'Brown Bess' musket.
