Smart move, get a loan fee and his wages covered, sign him up for 12 more months,  if he does nowt at Palace nothing gained or lost, if he scores more than Jordan Ayew did last year uncle Woy will offer Marina a good few million quid to make him permanent, if hes a flop the club has him back and can restrategize. He did ok for Palace season before last, if hes given regular game time he may surprise us all. 

He's a good striker but not good enough in the current era where strikers need to do a lot of things right.

Glad if he could secure a loan with the obligation to buy.

Official to Palace. Signing an extension makes a ton of sense for Chelsea. They have his wages covered, and they can still get a fee.... ends up costing zero, with 8 figures of upside

low risk, high reward...

 

What is it with Crystal Palace and crap strikers?

He seems to be well liked at Palace and did a decent enough job when he was with them before. He doesn't have a future with us but he could be a useful player for a club with lower expectations. The loan makes perfect sense for all involved.

Bats is a good striker. He deserves to be playing. All the best to him!

Never easy for a forward to look good in a team that has 30% possession every game.

I reckon he did ok, he won the penalty and took his chance with a good finish yet was marginally off-side.

He seemed disciplined in shadowing the opposition players on the ball.

Whether he deserves the role more than the other strikers is one for Roy to ponder.

He's scoring for fun in the national team. But still can't find the net in the PL.

I guess that PL is just not for him, his career is going down here.

Even though the bloke who tweeted this got it massively wrong It's almost like a charity thing where someone wins a competition and turns out for Chelsea 🤣

Lol 20 M for Batshuayi !:) he is in his last year contract i dont think we can demand 20M and his transfermarkt value is around 10M euros like 8 M pounds. If we wont sell him this year we need to extend his contract otherwise he will leave for free in this January. Also he has a high salary . I think 2-3 M pounds for a transfer fee is logical for us . We can save 6-7 M pounds for a year which is great 

Sell him now for a cheap fee (because nobody in their right mind would pay anything over 15m for him) or lose him next year for free, at this point I just want rid of all the deadwood
