Posted July 10, 20168 yr Just seen on his Twitter that he starts work for Chelsea tomorrow - new goalkeeping coach, maybe?https://twitter.com/capitancarloc/status/752225382888271872
July 10, 20168 yr Great goalkeeper, left too soon. Needs a shower before he starts work tomorow though to get the spuds of him.
July 10, 20168 yr Unbelievable keeper in his prime. I remember hating Cech when we first bought him, didn't think anyone could be better than Carlo Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
July 10, 20168 yr I think that might get Val back to the bridge. She's already there hiding in his locker.
July 10, 20168 yr Unbelievable keeper in his prime. I remember hating Cech when we first bought him, didn't think anyone could be better than Carlo Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk Legend and I'm glad to have him back if true, but I never rated him as world class like I do Cech and Courtois, for the same reason I don't subscribe to the De Gea w**kfest. Under constant bombardment, he will make save after save and look brilliant, but his all round game and concentration levels were not good, 03/04 it got to the point he was only needed once or twice a game, and he made some mistakes that cost us points, De Gea is similar, vs Croatia he didn't have much to do and ended up blowing the game for Spain, then vs Italy he was under constant bombardment and was amazing, will be interesting to see how De Gea gets on under Jose with a tighter defense, see if he can cope with that.
July 11, 20168 yr Now this is good news go wake up to, I'm off to a certain locker at the Bridge :-) I wouldn't have thought of it myself of course, if it weren't for some inspiring posts... Edited July 11, 20168 yr by Valerie
July 11, 20168 yr Is Lollichon leaving then? It was problematic between him and Thibaut it was rumored.
July 12, 20168 yr I'm happy with this appointment provided our goalkeepers and coaching staff are happy with this. Â Carlo was a terrific goalkeeper before he was ousted from his regular spot when Cech arrived to the club through no fault of his own who was in another league in those days.
July 12, 20168 yr Had the pleasure of serving him water in the hotel i used to work in. Lovely bloke, left a nice tip. Still have the receipt with his signature too Edited July 12, 20168 yr by RMCM
July 22, 20168 yr Been confirmed today he's joining Conte's coaching staff. Maybe replacing Lollichon since Courtois is a stroppy so and so.

July 23, 20168 yr I'm glad, I always felt bad for him When Petr came in, after all he wasn't playing poorly it was just that Petr was too good !!Well done Antonio, and well done the club.
July 23, 20168 yr Good news. At the time I wasn't 100 pleased at Cech signing for us. Okay so I was wrong on that one...
July 23, 20168 yr Good news. At the time I wasn't 100 pleased at Cech signing for us. Okay so I was wrong on that one... I don't remember exactly how I felt but I loved Carlo Cudicini and I didn't foresee him becoming second choice. I think people forget how good Carlo was, he was consistently the best keeper in this country for years.
July 24, 20168 yr Carlo was the golden glove winner when Cech came. If I'm not mistaken Carlo got injured in Pre season so that gave Cech the opportunity I don't remember exactly how I felt but I loved Carlo Cudicini and I didn't foresee him becoming second choice. I think people forget how good Carlo was, he was consistently the best keeper in this country for years.

The best goalkeeper in the league at the time and still underrated by many in my opinion. Â In Roman's first season as owner, he struggled with injuries and consistency and then was ousted from his regular spot by Cech in the following season.

Thought he won the golden gloves in Roman's first season and he received it against Leeds on the last game of the season which was also Claudio last gameMaybe I have my seasons mixed up but I was at the Leeds game and nearly sure he won the golden gloves. Maybe getting forgetful in my old age lol Edited July 25, 20168 yr by bluegraham
