Crazy story. Not a lot of choice for the FA here. 

Steve Bruce will probably distance himself from rumours of him taking over the Stoke job now... It's all rather depressing really. 

Really enjoying England being a laughing stock. Need to make the most of it before it's over.

You have to wonder if it will ever end, England have been a laughing stock for as long as i have been watching them.

Bruce, Southgate, either way, England are going to end up with another sh*t manager.

As an aside, I don't like these newspaper stings. It's entrapment and quite vicious in my opinion. 

Quite ridiculous. That being said don't think he's the type of manager England should have been looking to build for the future with anyway.

Steve Bruce it is then. He'll be an FA yes man. At the same time, I can see him giving a couple call ups to less heralded players. He was one of the best players to not get a cap when several inferior players did. 

Nigel Pearson thought to be under consideration as well. 

I wonder whom Stoke will line up now. 

Many Sunderland fans want Allardyce back.

What an idiot, worst of all I thought he was probably the best manager for us at this point in time, and now we'll end up with a useless plank like Steve Bruce.

That will be the same Nigel Pearson who was suspended by his club tonight then ?

What a bloody shambles yet again. Allardyce was always a chancer but ffs this is ridiculous.

Sam gone (shame, thought he was the best English manager out there), Bruce in no doubt. Not a great bunch to choose from is there?

Howe maybe but he's young and inexperienced. Pardew was flavour of the month a year ago but Palace have been dogsh*t since then.

Which is more painful right now, being an England fan or being a Chelsea fan?

Guy was set up big time which is never nice to see but you just cannot say stuff like he did when in a position like the England national manager.

He came across as a smug arrogant twat who thought he had made it, his world will come crashing down now.

These 'stings' are nothing new though so really guys like Sam should be well aware to stay away from conversations and people like that but his greed clouded his judgement sadly.
