I'd honestly just prefer if we kept Kenedy as a LWB option at this stage.

Rahman will be sold in the summer so if we can get close to the 20m we spent on him back, it would be something.

If Conte can transform moses into a converted WB, then I'm sure, if Kenedy is willing to do the work, he could be a fine player as a LWB.

He is only 24 a regular player for his national squad, the question is can he adapt to wing back? I would personally try Kenedy out and see if he can adapt if not we need cover for Alonso.

For his club he seems to be a very attacking minded full back so i doubt he'd have much trouble adapting to the role. The premier league can often catch players out though so who knows.

Ricardo will take us to a new level. Alonso has been decent but ricardo's attacking prowess is great. Will compliment hazard really well. But doubt it will happen.

Imagine having the likes of Hazard and Costa on the end of some of these crosses and through balls.

Not to mention his free kick and corner abilities. Would Wolfsburg want to sell after just selling Draxler though?

I hope none of those who want this signing are the same who slag of Alonso for a lack of pace, Rodriquez is even slower.

Thats the reason I don't want Rodriguez, I would like to have the option to add more pace to our left wingback. Djibril Sidibé would be a better choice, he can play both left and right wingback when needed.

Sidibe is a beast athletically. But he is right footed so I don't think we would have that same balance that alonso offers.

Rodriguez is a good player although hasn't been at his best for a while, he has a better delivery than alonso, but defensively I don't think there is much in it personally.

Not many quality wing backs around these days though, so I guess sacrifices have to be made, as it's unlikely we will get the perfect player.

Really could do with another left with great back though, even just someone to back up alonso would suffice.

It will be more then a good signing. Tho i also want Sidibe more. Anyway if Conte think he is the main, then our management should buy the players Conte want.

Otherwise we will probably see Michy picture ....

I checked Ricardo's squawks rating against Marcos alonsos when we signed him and Marcos alonso absouletly battered him on every statistic assists, defending, attacking, overall .. I was surprised but then it clicked why we went for alonso over him and I doubt now we are actually interested and it's just the media regurgitating old rumours.

Not everything in football is about pace. You obviously need some pace, but it's more important to have good movement and shape to the team. Pace is pointless without end product.

Wayne Bridge was good for us aswell I'd say. Not at Cole's level mind.

Wayne Bridge was good for John Terry......well his girlfriend was apparently:rolleyes:

Of course mate, you can actually never know who will adapt or who won't. However it seem's finally the managers buy the players so Conte will buy him if he needs him.

Agreed. Still don't think we'll ever have a left back as good as Ashley Cole though. What a player he was in his prime.

Yep he was Mr. Consistent, but Cesar wasn't too shabby either
