Cahill was fouled for their second but he shouldn't have been given that ball in the first place

Don't blame JT.. it was cahill who was asking for the ball.. he's taking too much time and that's the source of the problem..

Did you watch the game or just making sh*t up? He was under pressure because of that pass by Terry, and sure maybe he should of thumped it and in hindsight we know that, but CLEARLY we're not playing that way anymore. So he is just following the gameplan. Given that Fer was already running towards him as the pass came, if you look at it closely again Cahill was fairly collected all things considered and had he not been fouled or had the foul been acknowledged he would of done his job successfully. How is that hard to understand?

I watched both the match and highlight. There was nothing wrong with the pass from Terry. Cahill had more then enough time to pass that either directly back to Terry or Courtois. He did however make a horrible mistake by chipping the ball up in the air, allowing Fer time to close him down and a weak ref to make another mistake.

We are no longer a team that sits back soaking pressure and protecting a 1-0 lead.  We are a possession and very offensive team!  This means that other teams will likely counter against us a lot!  The best way to stop these counters is to have a fast defensive, this is not rocket science.  Unfortunately, our legend Terry does not fit this bill.  Cahill on the other hand was fouled and I can't fault him much.  But we were being fouled already and not getting much for it, So he should be smart enough to know that and not let that scenario even happen.

Friday is Liverpool, high tempo team.  We will need fast defenders cause Liverpool will attack more than the two times Swansea did.  I'm concerned!!

But he's also been kicked not once but twice in the process.

All of the criticism arguments would be like us playing the offside trap -- and then the referees not giving a clear offside with them scoring. .

It's not the same thing, you've got the blinkers on with your line of arguing.

No one is denying there was a foul on Cahill but he invited the pressure because of the poor way he initially received the ball from JT and then he panicked when he saw Fer closing him down. Cahill has never been the most composed player with the ball at his feet and that's what let him down today.

I don't f**king rate conte, he's way too timid who based his football on safety first..

This is, to put it mildly, bollocks. He picked a good line up and when he could he took off a DM in Matic and freshened up the attack with Moses. Batshuayi had to wait ages to come on because there were no breaks in play.

The guy cannot fix everything that was wrong in 4 games. Give him a f**king chance. [emoji849]

Personally I am really liking him and look forward to him evolving the team through the season.

Oh no  some random on the internet is annoyed. Go on then, tell us about the manner of our 2 wins out of 3 by a new manager with a team that was dreadfull last season, I look forward to seeing you spin it in your usual negative manner.

I am not talking about how has Cahill been in the past. I am talking about THIS situation. And it's very simple -- if the referee made the right call, or Fer did not foul him, Cahill would of succesfully defended. That is all it boils down to.

If it wasn't for our poor finishing we would have been 3 up, at least. We set off attacking and carried on all game, it was very much an offensive side out today. Some just seem desperate to be miserable and negative though, and if there's no reason to be then you can damn well bet they will invent one.

F*ck that ref. Cahill rightfully calling the twat out on twitter. Fer literally runs up to him and just kicks him down in the most blatant way and well positioned referees who must have seen it just let it go. Absolutely fuming over that, fuming.

We thrashed them and should have won. We'll mount a title challenge this season.

Lucky sheep shagging twats hope they get f**king relegated and I hope that c**t mariner eats a dodgy Nando and sh*ts water for a week!!!.....never mind onwards and upwards.....KTBFFH!!!::ChELSeAFaN::

Frustrating game given our first half, we should have been more clinical. The game was actually quite similar to the United v City game with one team dominating and allowing the other team back in. At least we didn't lose the game and I hope that the team learns his lesson

I know it's disappointing but overall, we have to be pleased with our start. 10 points from 4 games is pretty decent and I believe that we will only get better as the season goes on.

Just became one of those very frustrating games today but at least we came away with something - could have easily lost all 3 points in the end.

Can't really fault Conte although I would have liked to have seen the changes made earlier. Fabregas and Moses certainly improved us again but poor Bash didn't get enough time to get into the game.

We need to improve our decision making in the final third and take our chances as our shaky defence means we are always likely to concede. Very enjoyable game to watch and I think the ref tried to let a lot go but made some poor decisions, for BOTH sides.

The dropped points will soon be forgotten if we can beat the dippers Friday. COYB!

Disappointing drop of points today but look at it this way:

Last season after four matches played Chelsea were 1-1-2 with 4 points, sitting in 13th place.

This season: 3-1-0, 10 points, sitting in 2nd place and still undefeated.

Rome wasn't built in a day, this Chelsea are improving and will only get better throughout the season. I don't know why people are bashing Conte, as if Conte told Costa, Oscar and Hazard to miss sitters and fairly easy chances. It was just one of those games, the ball didn't want to go in at times. Let these hiccups happen now, it'll only help the team later on.

Kompany did something similar a while ago and got a card rescinded as a result.

If the FA are smart they don't want to piss off their only competent CB, Stones is still raw and Smalling can only pull shirts and put ppl in headlocks

Cahill will get punished for this. The goal given was not enough punishment for him I'm guessing.

Marriner was pretty bad but no need for this outburst.

Is it me or does Mariner tells GC to phuck off?

No. Think he says 'Not a foul.'  In his head he was saying 'F#ck you Chelsea'  all game.

Mixed emotions

a year ago would probably not see the point go home

but the keystone kop antics in or near the box was right out of last season

still second. 10 out of 12 points in the bag after these initial 4 winnable fixtures, I'll take it !!!

nice to see Diego back 4 in 4 ain't shabby in the prem
