Souness and Redknapp both had to say how good we were today; that performance was basically a perfect away game. The only thing you could say is that we should have scored more goals but that would be churlish. We look liberated with the 3-4-3 set up, really solid defensively, really dangerous going forward. Just a pity we hadn't figured this out before the Liverpool and Arsenal games - if we had we could well be top of the table right now.

This season looks like it's going to be a 4 horse race for the title with us included. I'm just loving what I'm seeing from us right now.

It's good to see solid consistent performances, we have an identity and togetherness that we lacked all last season.

Has anyone actually had a look at the fixtures after feb (cup games permitting of course)  I think if we are still in contention at that point we have a very very good run in, not that any game is easy really, I would like to play Sunderland asap 

Good to hear Conte praising the Chelsea fans after today. It's clear he feels the crowd reaction is an important influence on the team. Looking back at his actions to gee-up the home crowd in the latter stages of the Man Utd game, I think he'd love the Bridge to be loud and partisan all around. He's building a fortress.

Got to say Conte had some pressure on him to get three points, after

the game on Wednesday. He came through, and he's got the fans on his side now, after that interview. Home atmosphere can mean the difference between winning and losing a tight title challenge.

What's really good is that the team is showing a hunger to win and to work for each other again, haven't seen that for a while now, and it's good to see it back again.

Even after the 4-0 demolition of Man U, I thought Southampton away could be a banana peel, even though I figured a Chelsea victory was the most likely outcome with the form we had displayed. Puel has built on Pocchetino and Koeman's work quite well; his Southampton are a tough, well-drilled defensive unit with a formidable home record. 

So I was very pleased with our clinical performance there. We hardly gave them a sniff. It seems that resting 7 players for the League Cup was the right decision by Conte after all, because the team looked fresh and raring to go.

 At this point, I would rate our chances against anyone in the league, anywhere. Long may it continue.
