Surely now he's handed in a request we have to make a move? I find it hard to believe we'd be happy to stand by and watch him move to City.

No credible source thus far. If you have any, link please?

Arsenal have denied he has. Even if he does it will be City not us that get him I am pretty sure.

we can't pay his wages. looks like city and utd may be interested, both can pay his huge wage request. for him it's solely wages.

we have to break our fee structure or find ourselves in arsenal-ish trouble.

At the end of this season hazard will have 2 years left on his contract. Rumored to be on 200kpw. I dont think he would take anything less than a 300kpw contract (which is what alexis is demanding too). Thats the price of world class players in this day and age. We need to pay up or be left behind.

PS - I think the 400kpw wage demand is just a media hoax. The media figures stated that Ozil and Sanchez were demanding 250kpw which slowly and swiftly increased to 400kpw in the course of the silly season.

but then city wud be able to pay him the 400k per week which he apparently is after...

That £400k a week claim is just media BS...£250k a week is more realistic...remember he lives London and wants to stay there...

hmm..

anyway if we sign alexis we wud become overnight  favourites to win the epl with bookies and in my mind  for sure..

btw do you /anyone here know who our highest paid players are and what sort of wages per week they are on?

No, and neither does anyone outside of the player and the club.  That applies to all players at all clubs and to all media, world-wide.

City offered Sterling + Cash for Alexis apparently.

I think arsenal would be insane to turn that down. I doubt sterling would want to go though, he would probably have to take a pay cut.

They were actually going to to make them public knowledge like in America but you're right there is no official disclosure however that can be said of transfer fees too, it is leaked info and usually pretty accurate, this stuff is discussed in contract talks and is hard to keep a secret.

Can't see Sterling wanting to give up CL football...these swop deals often don't do through due to the egos of the players...

Surely Sterling won't be going to Arsenal to play Thursday night football in Albania ( or other exotics places), plus he just scored 2 decisive goals in the last 2 games. I reckon that's just mad rumour. I honestly think we are being priced out by Sanchez's pay demand.

I love it how when Pep arrived, he told Sterling that he was a huge part his plans (presumably to side the true Brit fans) but is now the makeweight to get a far superior player.

BBC seem to think that the inclusion of Sterling as a makeweight was Arsenal's suggestion rather than Man City's proposition...

Maybe but Pep mustn't think Sterling is one of his untouchables...
