We gave them Cech so I'm sure bridges have been built since then. They also agreed our offer for Ox even though he wants to go elsewhere. I really don't know why we haven't gone in for this one. When a world class player becomes available and even hints at wanting to join you we should have been in from the start. This is the transfer that I'd wanted most from this summer but it looks like we are not remotely interested.

Cech moving to them was a gesture to him for his service. He wanted to stay in the premier league and in London, it was nothing to do with an Arsenal/Chelsea relationship.

As for Ox, I said top player, a key member of the team. He is just a hard working squad player who if we are being honest, isn't good enough to play at the highest level in the position he wants to.

If City want him they'd match any offer we made. And we all know how much Arsenal love selling to City.

Come on Marina, do it. Get Sanchez. He doesn't have to move house or his dogs. Give them 70-75m.

£70m for Sanchez in this silly market,  is a great price.. 

But I don't see us bidding anywhere like that money for anyone since Morata, and although what I have read states Morata was Conte's main target, even that felt like a hint of desperation to it with Lukaku going elsewhere.

I am just not convinced we have the money to compete now for some of these players. Perhaps the board know that there is no point bidding big for the big players because Man City will outbid us.

No, it's not. Even in this market it's a ridiculous amount to pay for the player with one year left on his contract.

So Arsenal want a swap deal to replace Sanchez? Why are we not throwing Willian at them with a 50M offer? We lose some dead weight and gain a world class player, win/win situation. 

Personally I wouldn't be classing Willian as dead weight.

Compared to the players that we are currently being linked with, and are failing to get, Willian is a Pele!!

He scored a few free kicks when everyone was sh*t, still not Chesea world beater quality. Looks a long way off when the rest off the team are flowing. Add Sanchez to that attacking line up and we have the best in the league by a long way.

Think 'the best in the league by a long way' is pushing it a bit compared to City's attack...

Same here, but I don't think we have even shown the slightest interest, which is somewhat worrying.

Sure City have the depth but first 11 quality ours is untouchable.

This is wishful thinking at best.

I haven't seen any substancial evidence of us going after him from reliable outlets.

 

I'd love to have him but he seems City bound.

You can read what you want from that comment he made about staying in London, but it has been heavily reported that Pepe wants Sanchez, and visa versa. Getting involved in a love triangle would be messy for us. 

It just doesn't make sense at all. A world class player is available and we're leaving it to City to wrap up the deal. Sanchez would MASSIVELY strengthen any side in the league, including us.

Signing Sanchez is just as good as signing Neymar, Dybala, Muller, etc yet we're not even arsed.
