I know what you mean YB, but have to say, Sanchez does bust a gut, whether he comes on as sub or starts. He was everywhere when he came on last night - we have Kante who was also everywhere, but how we could do with a player who covers as much ground AND scores and creates goals.

I have come to accept that we won't be a dominating force anymore. Both the Manchester club will blow us out of water similar to what we did when Roman came on. We will have to look for the odd bargain buys like Azpi.

City could be one of the top contenders for the CL with Sanchez.

Just read Aleix Vidal is not going to be in Barca and he does plays as right back and  sometimes as winger , why are we not trying :( , that dumb arsenal is able to hold us 4 times

Sanchez was good , i mean he is good but just to costly we cant beat the contract of city anyway possible, but what i feel is Sandro we have stopped and now we want some Alex tells (i have no clue who he is , may be some 2nd tier player or even worse) , than we want some another mid fielder as if we want a army of midfielders there , No LWB ,No forward nothing.
its clear why hazard want to leave us , he can see we wont be winning any trophies , Mr Roman Abramovich is not going to splash any more cash , we wont be winning any big trophy result will be less fans and smaller history and than nothing just a tier 2 club (may be i am to pessimistic but i am frustrated , i have supported chelsea all these years , its first time we see so less from us

I hardly think we are in a position to blow the likes of Citeh or Man U  out of the water on any transfers these days.

We are in the second tier now for transfer fee budgets.

400k+ a week is madness at his age or the stats he brings. Lewandowski is on £140k a week. Let that sink in. 

Sanchez is off to a club with the best team in Europe, the best manager(Or one of them.) and the best chance to win the big trophies who will also pay him what he wants. Doesn't matter what Chelsea or anyone else bids. Manchester United shouldn't even embarrass themselves making a bid. Game. Set. And the match, Manchester City. As I said before, it's their time in the sun. Plus, Sanchez in means one less happier attacking player at Manchester City.

Sanchez is a great player and would make a difference to us. Challenge is that moving to City he can genuinely win the Champions League possibly even this year. We are a distance away from that. 

It seems that United are making a bid. I assume to drive the price up. He will surely go to City.

Honestly he's a great player but the wages he's on would be ridiculous and at nearly 30 it doesn't seem worth it. We clearly are trying to do the whole FFP thing properly and start being self sufficient which doesn't seem to apply to the mancs for some reason. Let's hope they do a Leeds aye.

Sky Sport reporting now that City are walking away from the deal. Quite surprising considering they have an open cheque.

Probably they have someone younger and cheaper lined up for the summer or Sanchez will stay until the summer and leave on a free, unless United push for him.

Embarrassing, City and United are in a race for Sanchez, Liverpool are favourites to sign Lemar or Mahrez and we've been linked to Carroll.

i wish people would stop whining about signings like it's a god given right for us to sign certain players. everywhere you look across forums or twitter it's ungrateful fans moaning about the board not backing conte because we haven't bought bale, griezmann, kroos, lemar, mahrez, sanchez etc, etc.

Bale who is likely set to leave Real Madrid
Griezmann, who while expensive, is likely set to leave too.
Lemar who would be available at the price Monaco has set
Mahrez who has actively said he wants to leave
Sanchez who wants to leave and could leave for a cheap price.
I'll give you Kroos but no one thinks we're going to sign him anyway.
The point is, we're Chelsea, we're the most successful English club of the 21st century.
I don't expect us to be spending like City, none of us do, but when we're not going after players like Mahrez or Sanchez, it's really telling.
As I've said before, the board settling for mediocrity is expensive in the long run, the club won't rest on Zappacosta, Moses, Kenedy, Bakayoko, Drinkwater etc They're decent but hardly the standard for a club that the board expects to be challenging for the title. And what then? The club forks out even more money on mediocre players rather than spending a sum on world class talent that could save them in the long run.
Look at Lukuku, spent most of June p*ssing around in negotiations and as soon as United fork out the money they want, we immediately match it but because we were so bloody slow and frugal, they've got the advantage.
We've got the money there, it's not being used wisely. £35m for Drinkwater and £38m for Bakayoko, a price which could've gotten 1 world class midfielder.

United make far more money than we do in almost every aspect. They are the most profitable club in Europe. They can afford these players, fee's and wages

Man City though is another matter, they have got their way round FFP.

Well, this club aim to be one of the best in England and Europe and we are never going to get there by signing the likes of Djilibodji, Michy, Zappacosta, Drinkwater etc, etc.

Right now it looks like City have given United a clear run for Sanchez and if United are successfull it will only mean they are pulling further ahead of us while we are chasing the Ross Barkleys and Richmond Boyake of the world.

if we are going to make a move, which I seriously doubt. Arsenal wouldn't sell until after they have played us you would think. 

400k wages is the big sticking point.
