Glad he's okay but if more of these footballers drove nice sensible cars like Kante this sort of thing wouldn't happen!

A poor workman blames his tools. I'd say it is more down to the driver more than the car they drive.

It was kinda sarcasm, but that's exactly it. He's still a relatively young guy, inexperienced driver not use to driving on the left on UK roads so instead of easing himself into things he drives a big f**k-off (and no doubt powerful) Mercedes G Wagon.

Kante drives a Mini (and not a race spec JCW)!!

Completely forget that he wouldn't be used to driving on this side of the road!

Yeah, but to Kante that mini is the same size as a G Wagon.....

I've been surprised too from Baka, his game vs Arsenal and Nottingham was very impressing performance. Good for keep the ball, good pass, good choice. He give really physical impact all of team. I'm excited to see him with Kante and Fabregas against big team.

Fantastic player. He one period of 15 seconds where he gave the ball away two times needlessly but other than that he is and was fantastic.

Also allows Kante to press our opposition even higher up the pitch to disrupt their rhytmn while we maintain our shape which is vital. I hope we continue in 3-5-2 though as i think both he and Kante is at their absolute best then.

Great news. No injury risk and some rest.

Good for us if he wasn't called up to the NT. They can go with the overrated Pogba and Sissoko combo

Yes is good for us, but it's always well for un young player like Bakayoko to be call by his national team, mostly with one World Cup this year... It's well for his confidence

I think they're beginning to with with Pogba + Kante, Kante was a bench warmer early on only because he was playing for Leicester.

Wish kante wasn’t called up either. If any one needs a rest it’s him, but he’ll proabaly play the full 90mins in both games. :face_palm:

If, he have been called and more he is player from french national team with Pogba

It was a penalty let's be honest, we were lucky to get away with it and it was clumsy by Bakayoko but other than that he has been nothing short of excellent since arriving to the team, hoping to see another solid Kante-Baka partnership against City, midfielders hate it with those two in the middle.

He's done clumsy challenges like that a few times this season to be honest in dangerous positions. One area of his game he needs to improve.

It shouldn't be a penalty at all, contact us still allowed in football, just. It was a dive.

It was one of those where with the home crowd and Simeone appealing for everything, the ref could have panicked and given it and you wouldn't have been surprised.

Love Bakayoko, always maintained he would be and is an upgrade on Matic but I hope he does curb his over-enthusiasm on challenges in and around our own box.

That's the problem with football these days, everybody thinks a bump is a foul. If Bakayoko had taken Torres legs out, then fair enough, it would have been a penalty. But all Bakayoko did was bump into Torres, that isn't enough to bring a player down or disrupt the player either.

I agree with all that nibs, i hate whenbplayers make stupid challenges that give the ref a decision to make and wouldn't have been surprised if he gave it, but it almost seems now that any contact is expected to be penalised.
