Burnley Vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 12/02 2017 KO 13:30 GMT

This game is set up for us to show off.  We'll destroy them, they'll have no answers.  They've won 9 and lost 13.  Neither side really does draws this season.

They've conceded double the goals and scored half.

Doesn't matter if we play Matic or Fab but Matic usually starts and we usually win so that's probably that.

Why, Pedro is playing far better at the moment. He is running and trying much harder, making good runs, giving good assists and shooting dangerously. Willian is lazy and too selfish at the moment IMO.

Because in dog fight like this i will prefer willian who is stronger and more of a grafter , Pedro is better suited to home games in my opinion. I feel like he will get kicked from pillar to post if he starts. He will be better served as a supersub when legs and minds are tired

I like the confidence but Burnley are tough to beat in their turf.

I reckon Willian starting would be a good choice, I expect Burnley to be physical at home and referee usually let it go in match like this.

I fancy Liverpool get something against the Spurs, so we could get a lead of 10 or more if we do our job properly.

If Liverpool beat the spuds and we manage a win at Burnley you should be able to say with some degree of comfort that city is our only real challenger left, and they will still be 10 points behind, these games are crucial can't let the foot of the peddle, not by a long shot, I want this title all but won by the time we play the 2 Manchester clubs in April. A draw at Burnley and a loss to city in April is 5 points lost, it's not inconceivable that if they go on a strong run and we get a couple of draws that we will be neck and neck by the end of the season. Keep winning don't let them get enough hope to put the bit between their teeth.

Feeling like a month has passed without a game.

Me, too. Hopefully our players has the same feeling and be vicious right from the get go.

They're better than the Manchester clubs, Arsenal and Liverpool at home. Burnley away doesn't read as hard as it actually will be. I hope our players know that.

I think we will see a close game in the beginning 20-30 minutes as they will use their freshness to try and upset us. After that, I expect us to take the helm and dominate the game. If we won't concede an early goal, we should go out of this on top.

Why is that?

cause he'll allow them to play dirty and he'll 'forget' to show yellow when needed.

he hasn't even show the red this season.

We can't really worry about that. He's not Chris Foy through, that man was determined to f* us up every game ( and he did), so glad he finally retired or f* off

We are playing really well as a team now.Confidence is high and the manager takes one game at a time, never gets ahead of himself.I hope Cesc plays as i think Burnley might take some unlocking. This season has been superb long may it continue.....UP THE CHELS !

It's amazing how many people write pretty much exactly the same comment, might as well just like someone else's comment surely? "Worried for this game, Burnley no push overs at home, should bring in Fab for this one. Alonso's been playing out of his skin, should replace him with Oaina anyway"

Anyway... having said all of that, I think Burnley will be tough to break down at home, Fabregas in for Matic for me, picks the lock in defence better. Comfortable 3-0 win.

Hahaha good question :laugh2: People do it because it keeps the conversation flowing!

Lets face it, not one Burnley player would get into the Chelsea squad never mind the first team. So on paper this should be a gimme. I expect a very hard match though, a crowd up for it , hoping for a shock, a team that shows lots of spirit at home and an extremely cold brisk Easterly wind blowing in off the moors, this is the kind of fixture that can define champions and those who also ran. The similarities are Blackburn in 2005 when a hard fought 1-0 saw us through. I expect more of the same.
