Moses out for 2 more weeks.  It is officially squeky bum time. We have no replacement for him and please dont say Azpi at wingback because he isnt one, he doesnt offer the same attacking impetus.

Pedro will most likely play there. 

Perhaps even Willian. 

Don't think cover for that position is a particular problem. 

Going by the question over ur avatar i DEF WONT MISS HER.lol  Pedro is a no go for me. he is terrible on the wing and is better served as in inside foward. I have never seen willian play the position but i would def take him over pedro at rwb

I think we are going to lose again tomorrow and see our lead cut down to 4 unfortunately.

 

well we've been fortunate with injuries up until now, so maybe it's our time to suffer some setbacks from injuries. however, probably the best time of any to be without a player/s while we have a point gap. 

Sane is in great form and is so dangerous. Playing Pedro wingback is a big risk IMO. I would personally play a back 4 or put Dave out there.

Defo no Moses, maybe for 2 more weeks. Conte praised Pedro's performance in the position and putting Dave or Aina in that position will limit attacking down that flank. City just attack as Pep doesn't seem to coach defending so hitting them on the counter must be a big part of the game plan, Pedro is the better option for that, yes he did put in the poor clearance that led to Palace's 1st goal- but mistakes are part of football, he's just got to keep Sane and or Sterling quiet, with Dave in back 3 should be  capable back up on that side. Think this is what we will see, need to win the game, not draw it. Hope Pep starts Ya Ya, but we couldn't get that lucky.

Why would we change the formation that has put us 7 points clear at the top of the table? I'd say play Pedro there, if he doesn't seem to be able to handle it then we can make a sub, but I thought he did fine there against palace, one mistake aside

Our attack loses something when Pedro is not in it. Conte needs to find an alternative to Moses and fast. Pedro at wingback again means no win for us on Wednesday I reckon.

With Pedro as wingback you miss him as a forward player and also he isn't a wingback. Playing Palace is one thing but playing a team which has Silva, Sterling, Aguero, Sane and KDB is another. Mistakes cost goals and wins, mistake for first goal and not sure who gave it away on the right hand side for the second.

Willian playing though could be ideal as I expect Chelsea to be on the counter a lot and the game being from end to end which suits his style more.

Yeah I wondered why Pedro rather than willian is the emergency wing back. Pedro actually is a threat consistently in the final third. Willian is not. 

Playing Pedro at RWB against Citeh is madness...time to bring Zouma into the back 3 and move Dave up to RWB...maybe not as offensive as Pedro but with Sane and Sterling on the wings I know who I'd prefer facing up against those two...

Don't see why Aina isnt at RWB. he's probably the quickest player we have who can play on the right. Dave and Kante would support him.

i know it's a big game, but i think Aina makes the most sense for me.  Keep the back 3 as is, and then you're only putting in Aina...but it's a big ask for the lad

I wouldnt have pedro as a wing back, he can score goals he needs to be up front. find someone else, i think we will be ok, i feel like we are always a bit off after an international break. I will put that down to our team being slow to get back into it  due to training so much harder and better than the rest of the EPL the rest of the time :p thats what im going with anyway.

To be honest i am feeling quite apprehensive about this game, we conceded 2 at home against palace and i keep seeing the names of the city attackers and thinking fcuk !!

Took me a minute to work out SSB, but that's the exact team I would start and the team I thought he would have started against palace, solid defensively tried and tested front 3 that cause havoc and fab distributing from mid field, for me that's chelseas strongest 11 period. Pedro running in behind causes all sorts of problems especially against city, I'd be really disappointed if he went the same 11 as against palace. A loss against city I took as a possibility in the title race if we win this it's reverses the palace result, draw at UTD and we will still win the title comfortably if we don't have any repeat palace situations

Definitely would start with azibi at rwb to give cover defensively.

Can someone please tell Conte to just focus on chelsea and not talk about spurs. This silly mind game of his " Saying that we are expected to win the league and spurs can only hope to win the league, Will only help to spur them on. Us blowing a 10 point lead to allow spurs win the league will haunt me for the rest of my life

It's a no brainer playing Dave at RWB. We will have our chances, defending well is a priority. Pedro's most valuable asset is running through the channel in the final third to score goals, not man marking or defending. City's style will suit us, as dangerous as they are in attack. We need to take our chances, I hope Conte ran extra shooting training this week.
