Juve are sh*te. I can't recall them creating anything apart from the two goals and the missed pen. Spuds could have won tbf. Honestly, the draw is even harsh for them! But good for us : Spurs might get full of themselves before getting back to reality against PSG/Bayern/City in the QF :laugh2:! Or even us !!!

many of the bigger clubs are looking well below par this season. real madrid, bayern, juventus. none of them look like the clubs from previous couple seasons. i don't even think it's english teams getting better, just bigger clubs are losing their pizzazz. barcelona are looking like the only club of the "big 3/4" in the champions league who are looking in form. i hope they sh*t the bed when they come up against us though lol

they missed dybala, but even then he's not exactly been in top form this season according to juve fans. too many of the top players unimpressive this season.

it's quite annoying how spurs pick up these quality players. didn't think dembele was that special a couple seasons ago, but he's actually an impressive centre mid. i've said for a while though that if i could take anybody from spurs it would be eriksen, he's so talented. exactly what we could do with.

Costa looked Juventus' best player. Shows how sh*te Seria A is if them and Napoli are the top two. If Spurs score early at Wembley they will run wild. Sandro guy looks nothing special. Dembele has been class for a while. Top player while at Fulham. The f**ker cleans up every loose ball and always looks to run into space. Maybe Europe suits Spurs more than the EPL. City at the moment are just taking the piss.

On taking Spurs players, Kane all day, everyday. No point providing if nobody can score. Erikson would wasted at Chelsea.

Here's a thought they actually give their players time and not just say they aren't good Enough
Watch them lose to palace next week. typical

Allegri and his dinosaur tactics. more negative than conte it seems
Allegri would be worst than Conte he's been exposed by spurs

true. i remember a couple or three seasons back people were criticising eriksen as poor and not consistent enough, but over the last season to 18 months he's come on and become consistent and dangerous.

What are City's chances of winning it? Honestly a lot of teams will struggle to stop them. I might be over-hyping it since it was only Basel but still impressive.

it's crazy to think it could be a liverpool vs city final. pep has an awful record against klopp too. i can't imagine a worse scenario tbh lol. from a selfish pov, i want us to remain the last english club to win the champions league.

Problem is there is no good "defensive" team/unit out there.

This is the list of last 6 CL finals:

Chelsea vs BM

BM vs BvB

RM vs ATM

Barca vs Juve

RM vs ATM

RM vs Juve

in 6 of those finals, 5 teams were a brilliant defensive unit (Chelsea, Juve, ATM). Currently all over europe, there simply does not seem to be a team that can do a "job" for 180 minutes. Teams like Pool, Napoli, Spurs, Roma will get a spanking from one of the big clubs (PSG/RM, Barca, Bayern) as soon as they face them. You can count on it.

Think they could well be the first to win the quadrople . League title and cup both in the bag already.

Watch Juventus stick four goals past Spurs in the next leg without reply. My Spurs housemate was shouting and dancing about last night, you'd have thought they'd won the champions league.

Can't wait to see them back in their box when they crash out. Their reliance on Kane is astonishing.

Tbf, I dont see this Juve team playing Spuds out of the park in Wembley.

A city vs pool final? Some people forgot PSG/Bayern/Barça/RM will still be around in the QF and semis !! Safe for City, all the other english teams don't stand a chance to win it honestly. However, if RDM is available, this will be a different story

Nobody is getting spanked. If Bayern, PSG, Barcelona, Real Madrid faced Liverpool, Spurs, and even Manchester United they'd be given a real run for their money. Very, very open Champions League, this year. All the big teams left from England, Spain, France and Germany have big players who can change the game. Liverpool in a 2 legged tie could go toe to toe with anyone, so could Spurs and United. The Quarter Final draw this year could be the sexiest it's been in a while in the Champions League.

The rights to show Premier League games from 2019-2022 have been sold for £4.464bn - with two live packages still to be sold.

Sky Sports have won the rights to four tranches - 128 live matches - while BT Sport have one, comprising 32 games.

The Premier League's last deal, agreed in 2015 and running until 2019, was worth £5.14bn.

"To have achieved this investment with two packages remaining to sell is testament to the excellent football competition delivered by the clubs," executive chairman Richard Scudamore said.

Sky will have first choice of every weekend match and will also show Saturday night fixtures (19:45) for the first time.

BT will show Saturday lunchtime fixtures from August 2019 and have said they will pay £295m per season - £9.22m per match, up from £7.6m - across the three years.

That means Sky have committed to £3.579bn - or £9.3m per game, down from £10.8m in the current deal.

In 2015, Sky handed over £4.176bn for 126 fixtures each season - including the first Friday evening games and both Sunday packages - and BT paid a total of £960m for 42 matches.

Who has won what?

The Premier League's bid process this time around comprised 200 live matches a season, an increase from the 168 for which broadcasters bid in 2015.

The broadcasters bid on seven packages of fixtures - five of which contain 32 matches a season and two 20 matches.

What are the packages?
Package A - won by BT 32 matches on Saturdays at 12:30
Package B - won by Sky Sports 32 matches on Saturdays at 17:30
Package C - won by Sky Sports 24 matches on Sundays at 14:00 and eight matches on Saturdays at 19:45
Package D - won by Sky Sports 32 matches on Sundays at 16:30
Package E - won by Sky Sports 24 matches on Mondays at 20:00 or Fridays at 19:30/20:00 and eight matches on Sundays at 14:00
Package F - to be decided 20 matches from one Bank Holiday and one midweek fixture programme
Package G - to be decided 20 matches from two midweek fixture programmes

Other changes for the 2019-2022 deal include eight individual games shown live in a 'prime-time' Saturday night slot, three complete rounds of 10 midweek matches all shown live, and one set of bank holiday games.

The new UK deal, however, does not include revenue for selling rights overseas. That deal is not completed on one set day and is instead finalised region by region, with the revenue from that expected to rise from around the £3bn it delivered last time around.

What about the other two packages?

Scudamore added in a statement on Tuesday that the Premier League would continue the sales process "to deliver the best possible outcome for the remaining packages of rights".

BT have said they "will continue to engage" with the Premier League over the final two packages of midweek and bank holiday matches, but there is no indication about Sky's interest.

However, given any broadcaster is limited to a total of 148 matches, they can only win one of the two packages.

There has been speculation that Amazon, Facebook, Netflix or Twitter would bid for the first time and break the Sky-BT duopoly.

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward was among those predicting one of the American tech giants would enter the market.

Amazon was seen as a notable threat as it has already made an impact by purchasing UK rights to the US Open tennis tournament, while also securing ATP Tour tennis rights.

Facebook has also made inroads into sporting markets in broadcasting the ICC's Champions Trophy cricket final in June and working with Fox Sports to stream a number of Uefa Champions League games.

The only issue with liverpool is apart from their front three, their midfield is average as they come and against a psg or even bayern their midfield gsts overrun. Only so much running they can do until they get overpowered in midfield. Liverpool are a good unit, but I think their midfield and defence Is pretty average still and will get shown up. Their best chance would be getting city next round.

It mad utd aren't in the consideration for CL. Even their own fans are not confident. Considering their midfield and forward line, you would think they would be given a better chance.

But their defence has Jones and Smalling, who are the worst defensive pairing in the PL.

I think this is more or less right, certainly Liverpool's problem is how poor their midfield is. Despite the general perception, I actually think that Liverpool's defence has several very good individual players in it (Matip, Van Dijk, Clyne, even Lovren and Moreno were excellent at their previous clubs), but they are simply not receiving sufficient protection from the midfield. Any defender in the world will look poor without adequate cover from the midfield - just look at us under AVB.
