The infamous Premier League is turning into a pub league, if it isn't one already. Aside from the top 6, the remaining teams are dreadful. Even in the top 6 you have calamities such as Liverpool and Arsenal who compete for the award of worst defensive performances displayed during the season. Burnley are the only other team outside the top 6 who are decent.

You forgot to mention us with Liverpool and Arsenal especially of late

Say what you want about City, the defending in this league has gone so down hill, players have forgotten how to defend, that third goal was an embarrassment.

A lot of people are saying that this City squad is the best Premier League team ever. With defending being so bad, i don't agree with them. They are one of the best, but they wouldn't dominate this league in the mid to late 2000's. Back then, defending in this league was at it's peak.

Oh how we see what money can buy......I think our time at the top table has run its course...for a while at least

It will be if we can't identify World class players when they are under our nose, but have a canny knack at saving up deadwood.

I love watching these teams that are sitting lower in the table, especially towards the end of the season...a dog fight for every point makes the game dogged and end to end, technically awful but fun to watch...as I'm watching the Huddersfield Bournemouth encounter.  At least both sides are fighting for every ball.....sadly we don't see that in a blue shirt these days

It's possible to praise things without having to insult the club.

The truth always hurts....lately at least. The past few weeks have been woeful in terms of commitment and passion by some of the players and the sulking of our manager adds to the black cloud hanging over the Bridge

I couldn't care less about united at the moment, they'll probably beat Newcastle. They're good enough to finish 2nd and dont bottle matches like the rest of us. Two of the CL spots have already been taken. It's between us, Spurs and Liverpool for the other two.

That being said, hope Rafa pulls a cheeky one today.

and we can't beat Bournemouth on our own turf ....Huddersfield showing us how its done

Differentiating factor for me was Huddersfield's physicality and ability to bring Bournemouth down to "their level" - something we simply can't do.

Think Utd fans and pundits are waking up to see why we let Matic go. He isn't going to be the "difference" that they were predicting.

I'm loving it, but then I go and remember THAT performance from Bakayoko last Monday

:face_palm:

f**king pawson can't beleive that was not a penalty or at least free kick for geordies

Same c**t who sent off Cahill for a nothing challenge when there's been far worse over the season and Cesc as well against Burnley.

Then again, it's United so we shouldn't be shocked.

Couldn't agree more, put them up against Terry, Carvalho, Cole, or Vidic and Ferdinand at United and see how they get on. For a start, defenders weren't playing themselves in to nearly as much trouble back then.

When you combine corruption, incompetence and game-management......you will get what we have been seeing for ages now. How can one go through the Ferguson years and us getting f**ked every game and still think this League is clean is unreal to me. And they keep conjuring these commetties......but its all a facade....look at the fa, pgmol and etc.....very very rotten.

utd have got very fortunate with that ref decision. also, amazing how many points de gea saves them. once he's gone, it'll have a large impact on them.

For me, De Gea is the best in the world
