All 4 of Tottenham's goal's have come from poor defending from Liverpool. 1st goal, Lovren tries to play offside, 2nd goal, Lovren get's the flight of the ball all wrong, 3rd goal, Matip's header clear was weak, 4th goal, Mignolet tries to push the ball away from the corner but just flaps at it.

Even with all players back, we have a massive difference in quality between starters and subs. Take michy and morata for example. No parallel for hazard. Look at the way we get owned every time cesc plays in mid.

also I don't feel the injuries will go away. It's not just luck that we are getting so many injuries back to back.somethinf wrong with the insane training maybe, not sure. But I don't think we currently have the squad, neither do I think we will buy anyone in jan.

top4 should be achievable, i agreeI agree

I still think we are capable of finishing 2nd, yes injuries are a problem yet only because they are all in the same position and that does not happen often.

I think Conte and team will give serious thought to player recovery between matches to minimise future injury reoccurrences going forward.

The idea of Spurs being lucky with bounces is one I can understand but you make your own luck. The exploited Liverpool's shortcomings perfectly.

Kane is a fantastic forward and very honest to boot - stayed on his feet to finish and score.

Klopp will say they weren't good enough, laugh and make a joke and all will be forgotten. Despite not addressing any issues In the two years he's been there.

The difference between Conte and Jose is so obvious in defeat. Conte blames himself and says he must do better. Jose blames the players and their attitude.

Jose clearly hasn’t learned from his mistakes at Chelsea.

I think he's a very sore loser actually, no way is this part of his composure, how could that possibly be an end game to just insult your players? I used to think it was 4d chess whenever he criticised players and the fans like that after a game. But now that I see it, it just looks like he's a very sore loser and takes it out on others.

Just can't see City losing the league this season. I know it's early but they score too much and just as importantly, they don't concede goals. Everything seems to be falling into place for them.

Don't get carried away, City looked amazing in Pelligrini's first season and Mancini's 2nd season, they were blowing teams away, they were even more dangerous under Pelligrini in his first year. They did end up winning the league both them times but were very fortunate and certainly didn't run away with either of the two.

I must agree with you. I wouldn't be surprised if he hit around 40 goals this season.

I don't think i am getting carried away. They are winning the games with ease, scoring for fun, not conceding many, winning the big games and they can even rest players. They have never looked as good as they currently do now in my opinion. They have everything that is needed to win the league.

We can score goals, but we can't defend and we can't rest even one player, one or two injuries and we really struggle. United have improved but not anywhere near as much as City, Tottenham are no different than last season and the season before, a great group of players but always the team chasing top spot.

Yeah but we've seen this a lot of times. Under Pelligrini they smashed a very good Arsenal 6-3, Spurs 5-0, just demolished teams. Under Mancini they beat United 6-1 at Old Trafford, Spurs 5-1 at WHL, looked unstoppable, Aguero & Nasri were monsters.

Wait until it gets about January and Feb. United are more organised, it's not about looking really good, it's about points.

Let's see him do it in the Champions league before making such pronouncements.

very impressed with spurs this season. they have bought well and they're still performing even without some key players (alli, dembele and wanyama missing from vs real madrid nad the two latter players missing again today vs liverpool) and looking good. the wembley curse seems to have gone and they're getting used to playing there. gonna be a challenge between us, utd, and spurs for that 2nd/3rd spot. we must strengthen and bring in depth in jan otherwise the tail end of the season will be a struggle.

And City are looking really good and also have the points to back that up (have only dropped 2 points in 9 games)!

The difference now compared to the time you refer to is that they now have a world class coach. I would argue Arsenal, Spurs and Utd are all stronger now than they were then and yet City are better still. There is a long way to go and who knows, if they lose one, maybe the confidence will dip, but as Scott Harris says, I just can't see them slipping up as they have so many quality options.

At the moment City look ominously good yet experience tells us all clubs have a rough patch during the course of a season so the rest need to stay as close as they can so if the opportunity arises they can take advantage.

Koeman gone from Everton. They were always gonna struggle without Lukaku's goals but I didn't think they'd be as bad as they are.

Bilic to be the next lose his job I'd say.

A world class coach? Guardiola has had it easy everywhere he's gone except for now, and he's done nothing yet. Until he wins the PL title I'll give him credit.

Koeman's got form for such collapses, exactly ten season's ago he got sacked by Valencia with them in similar peril.

At the moment it would appear Guardiola has ironed out the defensive problems from last season without compromising their attack.

They look imperious and having not followed his career have to say I'm impressed this season to-date.

I concede of course the real test is over 38 games and it would be interesting to see how they would cope if De Bruyne got injured.

Exactly, the test is over 38 games, they still have defensive woes. People were saying this just before we played them that's what we should exploit. They're capable of outscoring sides and outplaying them for the time being. Do you think if that form runs out they'll revert tactically? No chance, Guardiola will keep playing the way he does and it could cost them in the long run like it did with Bayern Munich time and time over.

I'm not saying what he did at Barcelona was easy, it certainly wasn't, he had a big part to play in it no doubt. But he still had charge of one of the greatest sides ever, and he left in such a bad manner it was ridiculous, Jose used to get beat by him 4 times a year and Mourinho would make Guardiola depressed just through press conferences. The man has bad temperament as manager, when the going gets tough he can't cut it. He failed at Bayern, winning the league there is no great triumph given the team he walked into, but he got outdone by all the top Spanish sides over the 3-year course he was there.

He definitely has a very impressive CV, but does it tell the full story with Pep? I don't think so at all. Like I said I'll concede completely if he goes on and wins the title, but that's still an IF, people always get too carried away as the season starts. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people think Arsenal are going to win it because they had strong starts despite their track record.

I'll be amazed if we don't finish higher than Utd.

They are still relying on Jones and Smalling, Lindehof looks out of his comfort zone. They lack width even relying on an older Ashley Jones at LWB.

Like us missing midfielders Pogba and Blind.
