July 1, 20179 yr Nice change back to the 1970 kit plus the logos. Just a pity we didn't go Yellow/Blue for the away kit to complete the retro look. Only cost 30 bob back then though. This is still my favourite kit though http://www.sportsdirect.com/score-draw-chelsea-1970-home-shirt-mens-374392?colcode=37439221&src=google&gclid=CNujtaWw6NQCFWwW0wod2CUBSw

July 1, 20179 yr Just now, Deino said: Not only does it feel cheap af, for a multibillion dollar enterprise who employs designers, it feels so underwhelming. We literally can't play Spurs away with our away kit Yes we have. It's a City player. Guess who? Wait, because our away kit is white we can't wear it if the home side has a white kit? f**k me, that's a huge revelation. What if a team comes to the bridge and they wear a blue away kit?

I'm just peeved that it is almost Exactly the same bar the logo and badges. If we did wear this away kit vs Spurs, it might be the MU grey shirt swap all over again lulz Edited July 1, 20179 yr by Deino

July 1, 20179 yr I quite like the new home shirt. Some might say boring but I think it's simple and classy.

For a while now you have been able to buy the actual player shirts which are made of a different material. It's a fairly new thing though I think maybe for the past 10 years or so. Doubt anyone ever does buy them unless they use the shirts to play football. Edited July 1, 20179 yr by Chelsbear
July 1, 20179 yr Blimey. I've only bought shirts for the kids over the years, I haven't bought an adult one for ages.

I tend to get them for 5s/7s but even I've never touched the exact replicas, the ones at £60 are expensive enough, just shy of £100 on a football top is absolutely criminal! As someone previously said they probably cost less than a 10th of that to actually manufacture, but then again that's why Nike are paying the club 60 off million a year!
July 1, 20179 yr Nike played it safe with the first year of the agreement. They can't exactly come out guns blazing with designs galore, perhaps even affecting tradition. It's bad for business. Besides, it's a classy, clean kit. The color stands out more than ever before, and that's one of Chelsea's badges - the striking blue.
July 1, 20179 yr Cannot understand why it seems we no longer have our own online megastore. There is hardly any merchandise to be had on that Nike redirect site, surely this can't be the way it is from now on.

Quick tip word is you look like a bellend wearing a strip to play 5 a side if anything a team training jersey corn exchange btw?

Pretty much 99% of people I've played with wear football tops to play football, funnily enough because that's what they're made for as long as you're not kicking about in the full strip, don't see a problem with it but each their own. Used to be but we struggled for numbers so now play at power league with guys from my work. I prefer the corn exchange but it's harder to get to for folk that stay out west.
