This all depends on the fee they want.....i have a feeling around £50m....

i like rose, but dunno if he's really the world class left back we're looking for. along with his injury susceptibility, i'm not sure. 

If he could be had for 35-40 it'd be a great signing! Never going to ever happen though so why bother even contemplating it.

If he sorts out those f**king eyebrows he is a good player 

I actually think he's better than walker, better defensively and not much to choose between them in attack. He's just turned 27, so anything around 40m would be fine Imo. 

Would be happy paying 50M with how transfer fees have been this summer.

Don't see we're looking to spank £50m on him when there's other cheaper targets like Tierney at Celtic or Ryan Sessegnon at Fulham...I know they're both young but I think we should be looking at the next upcoming talent to shine and learn their trade through the Conte method...

Nah, I reckon at least one will come, in order of likelihood:
1. Ox
2. VVD
3. Sandro
4. Rose 

Instead of Rose or Sandro what about Ryan Sessegnon?  He looks good, is younger than both, would cost a shed loads less and moving down the road wouldn't be too troublesome for him!

Fulham rejected a £25m from Spurs for him. He's not worth that much (yet) so doubt he's going anywhere this year. 

If we're happy to go with Alonso as the first choice, i'd like us to sign a young, pacy LB as the 2nd choice (assuming Baba isn't wanted). I think someone's mentioned Tierney at Celtic as a possible option.

Ah I didn't know Spurs had an offer rejected (I just thought they were interested) and yeah you're right he absolutely not worth £25m (yet), but Rose isn't worth £50m and Sandro £60m+.  And I have to agree that I don't see him leaving this year, but he'll 100% leave if Fulham don't get promoted.

Tottenham apparently offered to buy him and loan him back for the season but Fulham's owner said no thanks...read today that manure is sniffing around too...given that we've lent them 2 good players for the last two seasons I don't see why don't get involved for the kid too...

Tierney from Celtic would be awesome.

Alonso is getting better and better I really don't mind starting him, my issue is Victor and Dave on the same side, the fallacy of Dave can't play WB needs put to rest, he plays in brilliant balls, see yesterday to Morata for the sitter he missed, VM can't play a decent ball in, unless it's  a world class player like Sandro I wouldn't want to replace alonso, he gives so much going forward and he just keeps getting better, defensively he isn't great but when you play 3 at the back you have the LCB as cover.

What I saw yesterday is a Team that can defend balls coming in which was so refreshing and shut teams down, if we play that formation in Big games with Hazard back I think we will be very hard to beat, that type of play is a classic Chelsea route to the latter stages of the CL.

It's a shame that probably the Ox will be brought out with a £125k a week deal from Wenger...
