how many do we reckon 4 , 3 , 2 ,1 or none  .I go for none  lol

I think today's going to be so frustrating. I was hoping for a plethora of signings but at the moment it's looking like just one signing, Drinkwater.

Conte admitted he wanted Walker, and we've made an official bid for Lukaku. Danilo revealed he turned us down for City. Sanches and Krychowiak were available and they would have been really solid squad players yet we didn't do anything.

It's pretty damn clear we are interested in Llorente, I guess the two you could say weren't confirmed was Aurier and Mendy.

Conte might have wanted Walker, but there was no official bid made.  There has been no confirmation from the club (or Everton come to that) that we made an official bid for Lukaku.  Danilo wanted to work with Guardiola and was never going to come here, and again there was no official bid to say that we even wanted him.  Similarly, no bids for Sanches or Krychowiak (check speeling) nor any indication that we wanted or had any interest in either of them.

You have to differentiate between what players' agents tell the press to jack up the price for their clients (and, subsequently their own cut), what the press make up or guess at to fill pages and to generate clicks and what is actually happening between clubs and players.  No-one, not you, not me, not the BBC or Sky knows what is happening within and between football clubs, and most of what you read or see is no more reliably true than what your mate down the pub tells you he heard from a bloke who knows someone who once saw 'Arry Redknapp in Lidl.

I wouldn't put any money on that one either. The clubs seem to be way off on valuation.

Why don't they just do odds in a simpler system like that, would be easier for everyone.

If we sign Mahrez then that's awesome.

I still can't believe someone on here has suggested using Mahrez as a wingback. Can you imagine?!

Someone on reddit genuinely asked if ROss Barkley can play wingback.

They do, you have a choice how to view odds on betting websites, in fractions or percentage decimal.

Are we looking embarrassingly incompetent in the eyes of other rivals, who just seem to be signing and strengthening, when we get down to the last knockings of the Transfer deadline day we are cutting it mightily fine to secure our targets...:panicbutton:

Think you've gone out of your way to deny reality here. The fact that it's not on the club's official website doesn't make it false.

Lukaku:

Danilo was open to working with Conte until City came and matched Madrid's asking price. How is it you believe journos about Danilo's supposed stance but don't believe we made a bid for Lukaku?

Carlo himself confirmed that Conte spoke to him about Sanches after our preseason game with Bayern.

Not getting into the rest of your discussion with the other guy but I thought I'd point those out.

Yeah... these are the players we've failed to sign.

Walker, Danilo, Mendy, Lukaku, Chamberlain, Llorente, Aurier, Sanches, Krchyowiak. They all went to different premier league clubs. There's also surperb footballers who are available - Sanchez and VVD! I have no doubt they'll go to a different English club.

I'm so frustrated! Don't get me started on the outgoings!

Second rate footballers go to second rate clubs, a natural selection process.
